:)

i chopped them because the plants were not equal in height
and i want them to be so
both of them were over my lamp and i couldn't raise the lamp any higher

also i want the plants to focus teh energy overall not just on the top

Some funky shots today at day 42 in flowering

I am thinking to flush them at 49 days (7 weeks) and feed them only water for the next 10 days
I also am tempted not to feed them anything 2-3 days before chopping
i just think it will make the plant drier and more resinous

just an idea

any inputs regarding the last 2-3 weeks before harvesting will be appreciated

happy smoke

you got some serious buddage....looks very tasty....in the next two weeks? - the Q? of flush or not to flush...I have had people say why would you not....as well as those that say why bother....I have chosen to go the last 7-10 days on pure water........now the question becomes exactly when do you initiate that.....soooo many questions.....yours look great!

Thanks a lot
I am not so paranoia regarding the exact date, probably i will follow same rule as you
at least one week only on water

i already quick dried the tops i cut a few weeks ago, and they were super tasty
i was not expecting it actually really nice energetic high
therefore i am pretty positive regarding the quality of the final product

cool.....yea....the time of harvest...i.e., the nature of the trichomes can have an influence over the high....the general rule seems to be early - energetic - late - couch lock....but I'm sure there was interpretations and variations amongst that. I like the energetic high....though I am learning a lot about the nature of the different srains and seems to me that having a variety on tap so to speak will be a purdy nice luxury when that comes.....

The other thing that has been hotly debated in the dark time prior to harvest....lots of peole swear by it...like cut off all water and light.....and stress the plant into extracting the last of all nutrients at the very very end? I have not made my mind up on this one as yet....

good luck!

a started a few days ago to peel leaves
i peel quite a few every day, i try to leave enough tough

especially the ones inside so the bottom buds can have more light
i dunno if its a common technique or not or if i do any bad to the plant

i doubt it would do any harm apart from the stress which i would be unsure of the effect, and that the bud will get more light but in general the plant should get less i assume, becuase your taking away it ability to get light, ie; leaves :P
are you close to harvest? or only just started, i have heard mention of this done late in the flowering so as to affect the plant as little as possible by doing it :P
hope that helps

hmmmm

i am not an experienced grower whatsoever
but regarding the bud been lighter...
i started as ive seen the bud not getting any fatter at all, also teh canopy of the plant is huge and i try to leave enough leaves so the plant can still feed

also the plant is in its last 10 days or so of flowering
maximum end of january and is harvested

do the buds get a lot of volume in the last stage?

wow only three months for those bad-girls, seems to me you needn't worry bout them fattening up, although with a lot of strains they should fatten up plenty near the end and plants starts thinking "oh god, its been ages and still no pollen, best go into overdrive!"
looking gr8 tho melushell! love it
and some beautiful plants! rep!
