Hey B! Sad to see you won't be around as much. I just added the KB dry to my grow. Make sure you stop in to check on my ladies over the next couple weeks, I am feeling pretty good about the upcoming results! Peace

Well I guess one of my questions would be what are some general limits on temps that are safe in a box? Also does it depend on size, i know that sounds stupid what i mean to say is a box with 45 cf at whatever temp is that easier on the plant than say a box with 25cf at the same temp? Does space and airflow offset some of the damaging effects. The reason behind the question is that i am looking at running my system in my garage where it may have some temp changes outside the box. Again awesome system you built very snazzy

Try to keep it in the mid 80 F range inside the box with about a 10 degree swing or less from day to night. Some people have grows that are upper 90's, but I would leave that to the more experienced guys (myself not being experienced enough, lol)

My box has been all the way up to 87 during the summer when i turn the the ac up to save on electricity when i am away. In fact my box is always between 81-86 right now. The heat doesn't seem to bother it just as long as you have plenty of air circulating around the plants and plenty of air being pulled through the box. you can move all the air around the plants you want and it won't mean squat inside of a box unless you have fresh air constantly being pumped in. the reason i say this is because in a box, the air will go stale with high humidity and that will mess your plants up big time.

Thanks to both, its weird asking people stuff here because all though they are all similar everyONE has different opinons on how and what will happen and how bad hahahahaha Very nice plucking there :hump:

i Found that the best method is the "Kiss" method. stands for keep its simple stupid. The more you nitpick it and change stuff, the better chance for a screw up to happen. My soil plant is just Miracle grow soil control. When it shown signs of nute deficiencey i would just take my leftover water from my hydro when i did the change out and pour that over the dirt. seemed to work just fine. This time instead of trying to keep my hps at exactly a certain distance from the plant and changing it every two weeks, i just tried for a range. i kept it between 12-20 inches. And i don't know what you are using, but if its hydro, a digital ph meter is a must

That's what is so great about it and why you should never listen to just one person :)

The idea on this forum is to spread experience to help others. I won't say you HAVE to do what I do or what B does. Nutes, delivery systems, even water sources make each grow unique. Read up what you can and then you will hopefully be armed with enough to handle anything you encounter! Best of luck!

What kind of light are you using? i have a 150 hps and keep it no closer than 12 inches

I highly recommend them for a first grow. they are sooooo easy to grow and don't get very tall. Also the photo period doesn't affect flowering. So if you don't have everything set up perfectly it will be alright because it seems they are very forgiving. I even purposefully hermied them to get more seeds and it is still some dank stuff.

I thought the sativa plant was bad. But is was NOTHING compared to this. I have it in the bathroom still. I keep the door shut with the stink fan goin. But when i open the door to take a shower, my whole house reeks. It really gets bad in the last few weeks.
