First grow, 480w cfl(real output) bagseed

Thats all good man, My new grow box's are in the making so i have quite a bit of spare time to help people out untill i get back to it. Hmm.. I don't know if it would be safe man, If you wanted to you could always add the tinyst bit. Trial and error. But lets hope its not the error if you do it. If anything starts happening to the plant i would flush it straight away. Sounds like some good soil dude, I use 50% fox farm ocean forest 20% perlite and 30% My own organic mulch. Yeah my style is soil! I can't stand the effort that goes into dwc and coco even the thought of changing medium annoys me. Thats cool your geting the epsom salt dude, I just read a thread that said if your lacking mag then your leaves start clawing up so we were right on the money.

Nice Nice Nice mix you're using, unfortunately Fox farm's product's are not available where i'm at ... but i just found the hall range of biobizz available on net order, will get it for my next grow

got the epson salt and the wood ash and some borocal micro nute ... added them and now i'm just waiting to see some result's tho i'm sure it will take a while.

Once you finish preparing the grow, keep me posted if you start a journal or anything .

I will man, Im doing some selective breeding at the moment.Ill be doing some party cup growing! skunky/purple bagseed x orange ruffy. And yeah man, It'l work! you should see results within a week or two. Im interested in the epsom salt because my mate gave me a bit to add to my mix i made and it defently stopped them from looking so "claw like." As for the purple stems i use woodash as part of my (P) and (K) flowering mix. It works wonders. Peace

Gotta admit that organic grow's best, taste flavour, everything if used properly . as this is my first grow, i know shit about thing's lol, im going to do a couple more this year, and for the next year i'm goin all organic, thinking to do a compost pile and make my own soil, i'm thinking to do : 30% compost + 30%biobizz light mix +30% perlite +5% worm castings +5% vermiculite .... i think this should take me trough out veg and flowering with no problems , maybe some molasses or bud candy for the flowering period . how do you think this would work ? will it burn my seedling's ?

as for party cup's i'm thinking to do a trial grow, using 40 big party cup's in a small area (my flowering room), all clones and all 12/12 from the time they show leg's, and see what king of harvest i get off of that . But i think it would be a pain to take care of all of them ... watering and such but still i'm gonna try it for my next grow. This 10 plant's (if all females, tho i have a hunch they are feminised seed's even tho they are bag seed's i havent had any males so far) shoul give me enough smoke to take me trough the party cup trial heh .

Also, the flowering room will be modified after this grow finishes , i'm thinking 1 400W hps with cool tube + 4 150 w cfl's for a suplemental lighting this should cover 40 party cup's dont you think ?

It's update time again

Got some bad new's .... the big girl is not doing well the top colas .... are.... dieing i think, not only they don't get any bigger, they are shrinking and losing cristal's ... the lower colas are doing well, they perk up each day passing, gathering more and more cristal's on the way .... but the main 2 ....dunno , think i'm gonna cut em...

The other 4 flowering "girls" are doing fine .... but not perfect. over the night they stretched like fuck, but it's still ok by me one of the showed sex, it's a girl :X the other 3 are on stand by ;

The clones are just fine, got lst-ed(4 of them, the 5'th was too bushy and small to lst)

so here you go, the big girl is 10 wk's old 7 and a half flowering, the other 4 flowering "girls" are 7 day's in to flowering, and the clones are 16 day's old(since they got cut)

Shit, just checked, one of the lower bud's i think went hermy on me ghrrrrr, it got 2 banana's popin out of it .... should i pull them ? can i use the polen from those banans to get femed seed's ?

Pluck them. You can pluck when they are banana's but not seed sacks.Unless you don't mind a bit of a stunting but i wouldnt recomend it. Also about the lights thing. Personally i wouldnt add cfl's because of financial reasons but to answer your question supplimental lighting will help. I.E the outsides of the set up for the shaded nuggets. Sorry to hear about your girl. What did you last feed it and how much? Also how long has it been flowering.

dude in my own opinion your nuts. i cant believe you have that many cfls.
i am currently using 4, 40 watt cfls in my garage and today is the 1 month birth day. tomorrow i will upload some pics to this thread to show you how to grow cfl style.
believe me when i say higher power with less bulbs is better then low power with many bulbs.

p.s.
i haven't seen fluffy buds like that in a while. i get nice thick dense buds about 9 inches at top length except my main cola usually about 16 inches or so. and about 4 inches thick.

Hey man, it has been flowering for 7 and a half week's . the last feed i did was half strenght bloom nutes + woodash+epson salt ... my feeding schedule has been constant half strenght with everyother watering. I'm gonna pluck those bananas ... wouldent mind a few seed's on the big girl, but with the other 4 plant's in there, i dont want to risck having polen on them.

I'm happy for you dude, but you see, thing is i knew shit about growing when i started that plant, i veged it and flowered it for about 5 week's in a cardboard box with 4 23watter's .... + she got stressed as fuck, she got nute burned, overwatered , had light's fall on her, heat stressed everything . + i dont do well with coco, not atall, and sadly my other 4 girls are also in coco .... the clones are in soil, and from now on only soil it is.

after i finish this batch, i'm going eiter 400w hps, or 4 150w cfl's .

I cut down the top "colas" since they were pretty much dieing .... here are some pathetic pictures of them :

Just caught up, good grow. I too have a CFL grow and I have 2 42w 6500k for vegin' 5 plants. I have picks, but haven't posted them in a journal yet. Sorta been keeping notes as I've gone along thou.
