#1 is stretching pretty quickly and showing lots of pistils! #2 is still very compact, showing some pistils, but not stretching really at all yet...

Don't buy shit from China.... or Hong Kong

Keep "up" the low temps man! No pun intended. Plants looking great. Cant wait to see them flower. How do you like the UFO light? Eventualy I would like to buy one just to keep it in the corner of my tent and feed just one plant, maybe a strain I like.

The UFO actually puts out more light than I thought it would - for a single plant I think it would work great (as long as the plant isn't humongous)

I've been looking at a tent from Gotham, it's their smallest one and only costs $58. I might throw the 180watt in there for a veg tent, and the 100 watt will be used for seedlings in a Roughneck tote. I want to get a 500w Blackstar, but I've also been looking at e.shine systems.

They use Bridgelux and Epistar LED's, and they claim they're the company that makes the Hydro Grow Penetrator....

Been looking at their version of the penetrator, it uses different lenses because the lens shape, etc is trademarked - but still uses 126x3watt diodes.... AND only costs $320USD + $70 S/H... so you get a panel with an actual 252 watt draw for less than $400 shipped... seems almost too good to be true, especially considering the cost of the Penetrators....

That light sounds like you get what you pay for. Doesn't look any better than that. 252w draw for 400$, i got 306w draw for 500$ from the blackstar 500...

I'm with you in the fact it seems too good to be true....

I wish someone would buy/test one of these, and let us humble folks at RIU know how they work... :D

Ok, so I was fucking around with the power cords since I got my fan speed controller and plugged one of my CFL's into an outlet that wasn't on my timer. Long story short, last night the 23 watt CFL was on all night. I hope this doesn't completely stress the shit out of the plants and make them go hermie or worse....

Any advice?

That sucks, one day wont do much though dont worry. How do you think natural marijuana plants outdoors flower when UFO's park their lit up vehicles next to them for several days. That high.....

beef,

out of all the grows ive seen here, yours a very complete and crafty modest setup, yet i've fallen in love with your setup, gurls and attention to the gurls. Keep it up!! small grows like these always pack the best smoke.

Ive noticed ur well informed on ventilation, how do you know what are the best exhaust CFM's for your tent? Also, have you filtered your intake? without a proper screen, bugs could invade.

looking foward to start a LED setup and from what ive seen those UFO's really pack a punch for lighting. Which would you say is better, the 90W UFO or the 100 Panel?

def following ur grow!

Thanks man! I really appreciate the feedback!

I wasn't sure 100% on ventilation, but with the installation of a fan speed controller I think I've found a good mix between adequate ventilation and a livable amount of noise. lol
My goal with my tent is to create negative pressure, while trying to conserve the life of the filter. I run my fan at just over 1/2 speed, it still moves a ton of air, and it's no problem for the GF to sleep while it's on.

I haven't filtered my intake, maybe it's something I should look into, I do have some activated carbon pre-filter kicking around that I could use.

As for the lights, the UFO is actually 100 watts, and the panel is 180 watts. I'm guessing the actual power draw combined is about 160-170 watts.

I've been babying my girls :D I check on them 4-5 times a day at least, making sure to keep the humidity at a nice 50%, temps are always @ 20-21 degrees Celsius.

I'm still not sure what to do with the "runt"..... it's soooo dense and thick I'm kind of at a loss.... lol I guess I'll just watch and see....

Thanks again for the kind words! I'll put some new pics up today! :D

Beef, take some clones soon. With using LEDs, you are doing the plant a favor by taking the bottom branches as clones. I just took 12 clones myself just to have the plants focus more on the top canopy. Take like the most 2-4 bottom branches as clones.

I'm not going to do clones, I have a bunch of fem seeds.... White Window, Bluetooth, Purple Urkel, Tangerine Dream, Great White Shark, C99, to name a few.... :D

I actually have been cutting off the small bits from underneath already... There were a few leaves that were sitting in water that were kind of burned, and some really tiny growth that got chopped off. I clean my scissors with Isopropanol Ancohol before each use, and make sure I make a nice clean cut.

I will take some pics of the undercarriage, so you guys can give me some advice as to what I should crop. I think the big one is alright, but I'm having some trouble deciding what to do with the runt, all of the branches are so close together it's ridiculous..... There are some developing small leaves that I don't know what to do with them, again, I'll take some pics so you guys can let me know what to do!

I love that this is almost a "community" grow... :D Thanks guys!

Ok, so I cropped some of the lower branches away and it looks MUCH neater....

It was a cluster fuck before! If there's any other branches you guys think should be removed let me know....

Yeah, it hasn't been long! The runt still isn't growing very quickly; and it's still not showing solid signs of flowering either... whatever, I'm sure It'll come around... lol Might just have to Flower it for longer than the other plant....
