Got the tent today! Really high quality, zero light leaks, ample venting, small profile!

I'm in love with this Gromedics tent!

I also bought a 4" inline duct fan - 80CFM (the tent is 40 cubic feet)

Once the girls get bigger, I'll use my x2 PC fans for supplemental air movement....

And now for the pr0n... :joint:

As you can see, there's no Scrog screen in the new tent... Think I might just do LST instead....

I think I'm going to keep these ladies pretty small, maybe another 2 weeks veg...

Advice is always welcome!

What's the green shit in the last pic? Should I be doing something about it?

That's algae. I've never had a problem with having algae but I always take the top layer of the soil off and put in a new layer. It's because of over-watering mostly. Water sits for too long in the pot with the light hitting it. Always let the soil dry before you feed it again!

More pics! The "sickly" looking one seems to be making a nice recovery.... I think it was definitely over watering that did it.

Here's sickly... lol

and here's the champ...

A few questions to those "in the know"...

My plants are really short and bushy, I assume this is just the genetics? Anyone have any idea how many phenotypes there are of BCBD - The Purps?

Also, I consider this to be the first week of veg - how long should I wait before attempting to LST?

You say they smell at that age? What's your temps at? Double check.
It's not overly powerful - just you can notice a faint skunky smell in my BR with the unfiltered air being pumped into the room.

Temp is between 75-84(25-29 Celsius) degrees Fahrenheit... I know I gotta keep it cooler, but I really don't know how..... The tent is 40 cubic feet, and my fan setup is literally sucking the sides of the tent in with negative pressure. My bedroom is about 23-24 celsius, one thing I thought of - my intake was really close to the wall, so I pulled the tent out a bit hoping it will increase the airflow. I'll update later...

I've been leaving the window open, and opening the tent from time to time to let the warm air out.... soon it will be cooler, and temp issues will not be a problem.

Temporary solutions?

I've considered leaving a frozen 2L pop bottle infront of my intake fan to try and cool the air a bit - There's no place to buy dry ice around here.... that would have been a double whammy, cooler air AND Co2....

EDIT: I rigged up a CO2 "generator" lol.... 1L jar with 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 tblsp of yeast.... topped it up with water, drilled a hole in the top, jammed a bendy straw into the hole and sealed it. Hopefully it does SOMETHING. lol

#1 STILL looks nute burned....
#2 Still looking ok, both a growing rather slowly....

I've managed to get the temps down a bit, although really it's just been cooler outside. But oh well, they're hovering around 22-25 C(71-77 F), which is a marked improvement over 29C (84F)....

They seem to be sucking up the water out of the soil much quicker now, probably going to have to water again tomorrow with some tap water....

Finally a decent temp reading

I was actually kind of worried because they're so short and bushy.... you think everything looks ok?

I was planning on letting them veg for another 2 weeks probably, then flipping them....

Yah i would say bushy is good it means more nodes/branches. Theyll stretch during flowering. Just be sure not to overwater they look a little droopy in the pictures but it could be from watering recently.

Noticed a few "spots" on 2 leaves - yellowing on the very, very tip of one plant and some yellowish spots on another. Both leaves were near the bottom of the plant.

These were from last night;
