Nice, ill be watching i got some autoak47s growing about 8 days into growth lets see whos come out better ;)

glad to have all of u along for the ride!

i have a question tho. when should i start using my FF Grow Big? my girls are 2 weeks old today and are on their third set of leaves (5points). i heard you only use grow big for the veg state and i also heard that you shouldn't use nutrients until the third week. this is confusing because flowering is supposed to start at the third week.

Help please! +rep for good advice

thanks jack!

i think i might also add some CFLs for side lighting, at least during the veg period but maybe flowering too. i heard this will decrease the stretching.

input always welcome

Very good idea actually. In fact, I personally use high wattage CFL bulbs for my side lighting needs. It gets the job done.. and does a great job of doing so too. Most people don't think about side lighting.. but it helps more than you probably realize. Good thinking!

Oh, and.. you didn't seem to sure of using side lighting for your flowering cycle. You can (and should) use side lighting during the veg AND flowering phases. Really does help.

Good luck..

peace!

i have decided to add side lighting. Right now i am under 125watts of CFL lighting (3 veg, 2 bloom) but once i my 90watt LED UFO light comes i will throw that on it too. planning on putting them in a new flower box in about a week or so. then they will have 150watt HPS, the 90watt LED UFO, and two 25watt 2700k CFL.

UPDATE ~ Day 14

here are some new pics. enjoy! the other three beans popped and i have placed them in party cups. now i have 5 auto easyryders from the joint doctor and 1 auto haze from dinafem.

i started giving nutrients to the 3 older plants today (Big Bloom @ 2tbsp/gallon)

just added another 25w CFL bloom so thats 6 bulbs for 150w total

any thoughts on lst with autos? not sure exactly when to start/how i should do it

Whats the ph of the water your using? The bottom leaves can get yellow from lack of light but that doesn't seem to be the case for you.. My guess would be ph issue because that big bloom wont yellow your plants..

the ph of my water is about 7.

could this be from over watering? ive been doing some research and the plant seems to have the right symptoms (droopy, bottom leaves starting to yellow, plant looking the wrong shade of green)

Yea definitely could be, how often are you watering? I was in ffof soil and at that stage it was every 3-4 days..

i've been trying to wait til they are dry (according to the moisture meter) and then watering them accordingly. its seems to be about every other day but i'll take it back a little for the troubled plant. thanks SmeLLy!

Looking good, weedfiend! Unfortunately I can't really offer that many suggestions, as I'm pretty unfamiliar with soil grows -- I can tell you, however, that my plant's cotyledons yellowed and fell off at around week three or four. I think this is a natural process. I'm not sure of the reason for the yellowing of the leaves above them, though.

I'll be interested in seeing how your inline fan works out. Have the plants started to smell at all?

so far i havent had any problems with smell. they only smell if u have your head in the box. im sure this will change tho when they start to flower in the next few days. i have a 4inch jr carbon filter connected to a 250cfm inline fan. once i turn that on i should be fine. i took a look at your thread and for one easyryder, i think the DIY filter here would work great

my girls are finally in their permanent home. check it out. this pic is from a day or two ago

i have the 150w HPS focusing on the 3 most mature plants and then two 25w CFLs for the seedlings. my LED was delivered while i was out friday so i'll have to wait til monday for it to be re-delivered :-(
