First ever grow, not even close to being ready

okay, so for the past year and a half or so I've been researching on and off with plans to grow once I'm in position to. I'm currently not in position to, yet as o finished grinding up my weeds seed came out of my grinder. Naturally I thought it would be cool to germinate it. I'd never done it before so it would be good experience. Well it worked so then I planted it in a red solo cup knowing that I won't have a place for it after it gets too big. On top of that money is limited, so are grow supplies. All we have is a bag of miracle grow. The soil it's in right now I have no clue what's in it it was just from a random dead plant we had. But everything seems to be good so far although I noticed a little kink that it has a red stem for some reason. It also grew in on the side of the cup so I very carefully preformed surgery and extracted it and moved it to the middle. So all in all this seed has survived a grinder, unknown soil, and getting pulled out after rooting and re-rooting. What a trooper lol. I'm not positive what strain this is but I know it can only be two. It's either Blue Cookies or Stardawg. We'll find out if it survives to get big enough.

You'll be fine. If it weren't for these guys. I'd still be killing plants or half arse growing them.

Just remember. There's no substitute for good light. And they don't like to swim.

Give it at least 30w per square foot of floor space you wish to light up and you should be good.

I don't know that grow Lights are an option I'm going to be able to go with

Day 5: I had the dome on for part of yesterday but somebody recommended I took it off. And it did alright but by the end of the whole top was leaning and falling so I figured the outside wind was too much. I put it on right after I noticed last night and it's been like that ever since, I may take it off for a little later today I'm not sure.

Also another thing is that I can't get this plant enough natural sunlight so I'm going to have to supplement an extra 4-5 hours of light. So due to the fact that I'm not really financially in a position to buy a light I began searching the house for something to use and I came away with this battery operated light.

grab yourself a clip on desk lamp, and buy either a cfl bulb, or a new led builb (reminder take the dome off these) and point it at the plant

ok that about when I started growing mine, I'm in Texas, and our winter are like that. Left mine mostly outside in those temps, but when low's got into the lower 40ish bracket I would bring mine in, and put it under a lamp with 2 cfl bulbs for the last couple hours of the night before I went to sleep.

Yeah I think mine will definitely get a substantial amount of light from indoor, thanks for all your input I'd definitely be glad to hear more whenever you can give it

Day 7: all seems to be well, I gave it its first feeding of miracle gro yesterday, the only thing I wanna ask about is why one of The leaves is so stretched out and the other one isn't?

Day 9: I personally get the idea that something is off partially because I've been struggling to get this plant the proper amount of light, it spends all day outside and then I've been supplementing an extra 5-6 hours under this battery powered light that died a couple days ago. I've given in and am going to the store later to buy a couple cfls and other supplies for an extremely low budget grow box. Later in the plants life it may be moved in full time because I don't want anyone to steal the plant off my porch or god forbid worse lol. Anyways here's a few pics, tell me what you guys think.IMG_1342.JPG IMG_1345.JPGIMG_1346.JPG

Looking good I'd grab some perlite for that soil.
I've got some in there but after it started growing the soil level in general seemed a little small for the plant so I just added an inch of some old soil in it, there's some plant remains in there as well. Thanks for the input! It personally just doesn't look too good to me. Maybe my standards are too high for the supplies I have at my disposal. I just hope it's a girl and I hope it doesn't die haha
