Hortilux now has a Blue 600w MH. Pretty sure that has to be an HPS conversion so that would work for you if you wanted to switch to mh for veg.
Def get yourself a digital high/low thermometer and hygrometer. Look on Amazon or at the garden center.
It varies by strain but some general numbers are as follows. Ideal temp ~ 72, no more than 80 in the day, no less than 65 at night. ASSUMING you have proper air flow and nothing that attracts mold in your grow space... RH for seedlings/clones should be around 70-80%. For Veg around 60-70% and for flower 40-60%. Digital high/low meter is a must unless you wanna wake up every night and check your temps and rh.
Also don't bother with litmus ph kits (the color ones). Practically impossible to PH nute solution with thos. Spend ~$50 or so on a digital spear type ph meter, Hanna is the most popular, although I use a more trusted brand. Also make sure you understand how to calibrate it and do so once a week. I do mine on fresh water day, as I give them fresh water near then end of every week to help prevent build up.
Don't worry so much about the ph of your grow medium itself. Just make sure when you feed/water, the solution is at a good ph and slowing fill the pots till you get 10-20% run off. Then once a week give them fresh ph'd water in the same manor, the nutes will be mostly avail regardless of the soil ph itself.

Wow! over a month since ive been on here! christmas was crazy so barely had time to do anything!
heres an update.
Plants are looking ok, thyre on 12/12 now and have been for a couple of weeks, i feel they could be better but its my first ever grow so not really concerned.

Lol the cotton candy is looking great, how tall would you say it is now? It looks like a mini version of mine. I am still new aswell, my first grow to be accurate. My lady is now 3 weeks into 12/12.. She suffered a lil burn up top from growing to fast underneath my 600w. But she seems to be a gluten for punishment. The strain seems to be able to take a beating. Hope all goes well. I'll be checking in aswell. To review and compare! Keep up the good work!

Cotton Candy is 21 inches, thc bomb is 25 inches. Theyve been on 12/12 for around 3 weeks as well!
The cotton candy started off really badly, she was a proper little runt compared to the thcb but has really come on these last few weeks! my only regret is that i only put two plants in there!!!! arrrr well, lesson learned for next time

there isn't much smell coming off them at the moment, is this normal? there is a faint smell when up close but not as strong as i thought it would be.

Moved the plants closer to the light now. around 6 - 7 inches away. doesnt feel too hot.
got plenty of buds and plenty of white hairs on both plants, not much smell at the minute though, is this normal?
