My 1000 watt blast died and I have about 3 weeks left on my 2 Autos until harvest... can I finish my 2 plants on a 150w HPS... what will happen?

Excellent info thank you...visually I’m guessing I have about 200 green grams on each plant right now and of course the buds are not filled out yet. I think that last stretch is over so it’s all bud production from here on

I use a 600 watt hps normally on two plants when there autos ,but i have had great results with a small hps ,but i all ways take the hood of on a smaller light so i can drop it around the sides of the plants,most of my auto growing is done under a cob now though,i have two creme brulee going at the minute,i'm going to put them under a mars cob and another mars led i have so two leds in a tent that is around 1.5 mtr x 1.5 mtr x 6 ft tall

I have 2 autos left from my run that started late, so yes I am finishing up these 2 plants on a 1k cuz I only have a 150w that I use to start plants

Because your late in flower and they won't really gain much more height ,i think you will be fine.I would if possible get hold of a 600 though far more cost effective over a 1000 watt hps ,i leave mine under a t5 till i see signs of flowering ,like now yesterday started to see first signs,so that tells me there more than likely around 2 week in ,so i have hit them with big bud today for two week ,and tents going up later

Your growing pretty much the same has i do when it comes to auto's i do 2 per light ,But with normal photo period plants i do ,one 600 hps per plant ,so a light per plant .That is to keep plant numbers down to has low has possible,i veg along side the ones in flower,so the flowering room is only ever used to flower ,again keeping the cost down .But still getting real good weights per plant 10 min 16 most of the time per plant dried weight.So i would try a t5 for veg ,the one i use is a 4 tube one around 1 1/2 ft

Thank you for your insight. I will finish on this 150 and order a 600... hey what about a 1000 Watt ballast that has 400 and 600 watt settings. Does the the ballast use less power on lower settings?

That’s a great idea.. the on issue I had was the plants with a late start were constantly stretching for light until they got to the height of the older plants 2 weeks ahead, but those concerns are paying dividends now as the late start plants have the potential to dive me a heavy yield. That could also be the genetics. (1 critical purple and 1 tangerine dream)
