Always on time Zoso, your the man, and I thank you for backing me. Beautiful choice of words my friend.
You go mighty GG13 you my friend do not have to explain to the inane, we here all know what you can do my friend he hasn't shown me anything other than putting a negative aura on your flora, so Ganja you just keep keeping on for all your true blue fans I've learned so much from you and been able to avoid a lot of obstacles because of it.

One love,

Was this test to get results based on quantity or quality? What was feeding schedule for veg/flower?
They all are fed the same, all in 3 gallon containers, all same conditions, all organic. All treated the same so I can get the best results possible from each of the soils.

UPDATE ~ The 2 strains in the FFOF are really thick in white frost in the middle of the plant (partly shade from above) and the buds are really swollen fat and getting dense. The leafs are still nice and green, even at the bottom.
The 2 strains in RO are still thin like buds but trying to get dense, they just have not connected into a solid cola like others in FFOF, there is no heavy frosting as of yet. And the bottom leafs have turned yellow and the upper leaf are light green.

I grow from seed, so I used seed for my studies. RO killed 3 seedlings, and 2 different strains where very slow in RO and stretched, thin, no smell, little trichs.
I was not aware that you spoke on the behalf of RIU ? You must be important, I hope you do not respond as I wish not to waste your time, and all those you speak for.
I do not need to conduct my personal test in any manner but my own choosing.
And yes I am having fun, thank you. I have proven to MYSELF, that I was right along by staying away from RO. Even though they push it hard here in Eugene, and tell horror stories about FFOF and it burning seedlings, and unstable ph.
All I am saying is different strains have different genetics and some will stretch more than another strain for no reason other than genetics and if you had started with the same strain in both soils then this test would make sense. Otherwise it does really makes sense to test again each other.

I would really like to see a side by side test on these soils and I have no preference either way, I have used FF in the past and had ok results. Right now I am using Roots and it is working for me

I just cropped these

Using Roots soil, do you have any questions?

Cool buds man and thanks for the pics. Ive been rockin Roots Organics Aurora Soil for some time now. I find that the RO has far less food in it. Hense Fox Farms adds time released fertilizer in there OF. I understand completely when people say the use FF Happy Frog and see PH problems. It full of humic and acidic properties. Thats what happends. I have great results with RO but know it can be better. I notice with the last couple runs, I get super small yellow spots(calcium def) on all of my leaves but no other signs of def. I run in 5 gallon pots. Full of Aurora and do not cut it. I do not add food for 1.5 weeks from cuttings. Thanks for all of this thread, I cant say I will buy FF next time but I will try something other than RO Coco and Soul. Thaks again and Peace,SS

I understand some of you wanting a more controlled growing i.e. clones, but I am a seed guy and 2 different strains/seeds in 2 different soils, and the 2 different seeds in FFOF are kicking ass where as the same strains/seeds in RO have many deterring issues.
Both seeds/strains in RO are slow growers if they make it into veg stage, then slow and streched, loss of luster (green leafs) small buds, a bit airy for this far into the flowering, not so coated in trichs.
Well Personally being I am a seed buyer and connoisseur of the finer strains, I wish not to grow in RO for those above reasons.
But hey if RO is your choice, well that's great. Job security for those who make it.

I am also a seed / clone guy

For clones are easy to find and are cheap, sometimes you don't get what you want so I switched to seeds this round. I am also picky about what I smoke these days.

I deserve it and mind you I am not picking on your growing you have great healthy plants my concern was what you were comparing, good luck on your grow

I do hope I explained it was a soil comparison in general without sounding harsh. Thank you on the GL. I am most pleased with the 2 in FFOF. I will be posting pics tomorrow.

First set of pictures are the 2 strains in RO. You Can see how much yellowing is on the leafs. The buds are plenty, just a little airy (both plants) not triched out, but both are showing small amounts of trichs. There is no smell as of yet on either.

Here are the two strains in FFOF. Heavy coated in trichs and the smells are very strong, buds are pact way dense, slight yellowing on bottom leafs. Very sticky. Had to help main cola from leaning over.

So I have been watching them grow over the last 2 months, and I have noticed that the plant grows like the container top, for instance~ Pictures with white square tops, have squared off plants, and round top containers have more of a well rounded plant.

Had to move some plants around (yes I have more than just these play auto's) and now I have the 4 auto's under my T-5s. Over night I have seen a decent increase in trichs on one of the RO plants, smell is slightly stronger this am. The DD in RO is still the same. Hoping that tomorrow I will see more trichs as well. The two in FFOF where already triched out, but the DD is covered ass thick in trichs this AM. And the smell is wonderful. The middle of the DD in FFOF is like powdered sugar, and the smell is really off the chart.
