You will find many people who say many things. I'd be curious in a definition of 'better' and at least an objective study based on that once it was defined.

Grow fems. Your limited numbers dont allow for males. Also, m/f seeds are not much cheaper if at all at least from my seedbank. Sometimes theyre more… good luck.

Before fem seeds were popular, people would be popping 3 or 4 times the numbers they needed... Especially when producing the seeds themselves in the garden, because it's nice to have a pick of the litter.
As for the pack of boys, it just happens. I got one of those in dominian gear this year, and dominian is a stand-by.
I would personally pay more for regular seed, because it has the potential to be line bred.

I haven't grown a regular seed in a long time but I still have lots stashed away. I use feminized exclusively these days; I read that they make a bigger bud.

It's just the luck of the draw, I recently germinated four Reg Purple Hindu Kush seeds and all four ended up being females.
I have one strain that I ran an F2 table of and now I'm getting 90% males on germination. They are going to get S1'd soon, Good strain but I don't need the males.

I've heard this too, I can't say that I believe it, but I don't 100% disbelieve it. I've also never seen any evidence that would support the theory that either is superior to the other.
As always the best option is always the one that fits your needs best. I say do what works best for your situation and for a lot of people feminized is the way to go. On the other hand, all my favorite breeders sell only regular seeds, I would hate to not have access to those lines, and I maintain that if you have the space and resources learning how to sex plants is a skill that every grower should learn at least once as it opens up more options.
To me, it's a little like learning to drive a manual car, it's a valuable skill to learn because then you aren't limited by only being able to buy automatics.

Www.Drgreenthumb.com is crazy expensive. 150-$200 for 10 seeds? He can go fuck himself. His G13 was stellar, but there's a lot of stellar strains out for less than half the price.
Nirvana seeds is slow (6weeks) to deliver last time I bought, but damn best GG4 bud I've ever seen. I haven't heard anything bad about their genetics.

You can test for sex but not potency. You'll have to rely on the Breeder's honesty.
Your best bet is to look at someone's grow online. They'll usually mention the strain, but you might have to ask for the breeder. The downside is the batch may be different. Still, you can get great strains just by reading people's journals. But it's still a crapshoot. I did that for wedding cake and the buds were marbles. Nice weed, but terrible bag appeal. And I fucking hate trimming tiny buds, so most of it went in the hash bin.

I'm a breeder. I'm currently finishing an S1 of a Wedding Cake jackpot pheno prior to that I reversed a Special Occasion, her high was not for the faint of heart I refer to her as stroke weed. I will be passing those seeds along to someone else.
Anyway I breed with both feminized and regular seeds and have found zero difference between them for breeding purposes.
Next you get more genetic expression when you add in a male or reverse a female on an entire table. You are limiting your genetic expression if you only reversing part of 1 plant and taking seeds from the same plant.
I have grown Nirvana seeds. I found them to be a decent high, hardy plants and nice producers. I've found much better genetics but they are solid and good at an excellent price point. I have a cut of the original GG#4 I reversed and within 10 seeds found her again. So if they reversed that cut it would be very good indeed.

The whole "fems aren't suitable for breeding" is 100% utter bullshit. Fems are indistinguishable from the females in regular packs.
Fems are better because both parents are fire instead of a fire female and a questionable male. Male selection is a complete joke.
