rnyman, hey, dude have you found anything out? I have been trying to find the same answer. I flushed 3 gal pro mix/20 percent perlite monday night. I had been watering with ph and pretty sure it caused deficiency (pics in another post) so i flushed them with adjusted ph @6.3 and then fed them half strength with the last 2quarts of each 15! gallon!!
It doesnt make sense to me to starve them when i flushed them because of deficiency to begin with....idk though.
I have the same problem regardign watering- i only water once a week because promix is so good at holding h2o i dont wanna overwater....at this rate they wont be fed until monday. what did you decide???
dude, my plants are doing awesome now, but the problem is i was trying so many different things at once that i cant pinpoint exactly which one was the ticket. Or if it was a combo of things. If i had to guess i would say that lowering the ph to 5.9 (im using promix bx, i.e. soiless) and finally giving them a good dose of Grow Big(6-4-4) is what did it. I really think they were underfeed or the nutes were locked out due to ph. The new growth is def free.
And i went ahead and watered/feed when the soil was still damp and they liked it. It only took 1.5 gallons to get runoff( 5 gallon pots). You sound like you have good drainage so if i were you id go for it.
Ill be watering every 4-5 days until my girls tell me to stop now too. I think the schedule ill use is heavy feed--light feed-- light flush all with ro water.
Some other things i was doing doing that could have helped were:
-It was my 2nd full dose of cal/mag.
-3rd watering with store bought RO(my tap is hard with chloramine).. Have read from a few places that cal/mag is a must when using promix or RO.
-Also didnt feed any big bloom this time.
Hope that helps you.
