I appreciate your thoughts on the mites. I've never had them before. I'll definitely monitor and try to get some magnification on the leaves and probably do a proactive treatment.

I had something that looks similar happen to my pepper and tomato plants this year.... like most of 100 plants. I think it is something in my soil. Did you ever figure it out? (My leaves were very misshapen and leathery)

Wish I would have shown a close up of the solo cup. I think what helps is I tried to air prune the roots with a ton of little holes similar to air pots. I still haven’t done another solo cup. They are way to much of a pain to deal with keeping them from falling over.

I would imagine you’d have to be watering it all the time as well.
Years ago, I just threw a seed in a pot and ended up with some weed. I was happy. Wasn’t really looking to “go into production “.
I guess what I’m trying to get at is it is fun to experiment… And I suppose if you suggested on a forum like this that you were going to grow in a solo cup everyone would put the Kabash on it.
good for you for doing whatever you thought you wanted to do.

I do alot of pruning, some would call it defoilating its so much. once they are about 2.. 3.. weeks old I start removing fan leaves and other ONLY to expose the inner branches and bud sites sometimes it can b alot, looks like defoil. leaving some so they can help with the photosyn. I take all leaves that are going to or are? touchin pot or soil. cut alot of inner branches annd leaves that are only going 2 produce buds under 2 or 3 grams. [ it took me years to do this bcause I wanted every flower I could get.] I want biger and better ones now so thats the way I do it now.

also with the training I wait 2 to 3 wkk and select what needs the light and slowly pull branches where you want them and I use wire, measure distance, cut, bend one end in A half loop, heat straight end, melt hole through pot, (works with any type of pot) Run wire from outside into pot, bend wire to hold its position, pull branch down and catch on hook. Your done. you will reposition branch as it grows.
