I read the thread. That person you quote said the term monkey has nothing to do with race. Like: to monkey around, a grease monkey (mechanic), monkey wrench, and monkey it up(an old fashioned term, mostly used by old people in the midwest, and has nothing to do with black people). Mentioning monkey and then automatically assuming they're talking about a euphemism for black person is in and of itself racist.
So it's ok to call someone racial slurs if you're too stupid to understand the use of monkey as a verb has nothing to do with black people? Even if that person was actually racist, it's ok to use those slurs so other people can hear them? Imagine if a white person called a black person the n-word, but then said, "oh, it's ok. He's a racist, so I'm just paying him back!" Yeah sure.
