Fan to tent size

Hey fellow tokers i just ordered a Secret jardin dr60 so basicaly 60x60x150 and am stuck with what fan to get. I can get a 130cfm 3 inch inline fan but not sure what itll do after sucking through a small diy filter. Thats basically the closest size i can find in a reachable price range. Due to the tent purchase funds are mostly gone for now, i havebalready got a grow going at the moment which has no way of venting so only got oscillating fans inside so hence the purchase for tent and smells getting bad. I live in new zealand so the cheapest fan i can find is this 130cfm bildge fan for venting boat engine rooms. Its 12v too. So i guess my question is will it be wnough cfm through a small filter to work for my tent. I measure in cm and also as a setup i will be growing 4 small to medium sized and well trained girls in this tent. I know youll probly come and say its too small for that many but ive have 4 plants in an even smaller space before with good results (for a micro grow that is)


Im using 350watts of true cfl wattage

To get the cfm sorta right for the extractor times the lengthXwidthXheight by 20 and add 20% for the carbon filter, if the tube is really long or in a hot place add more. Ventilation is so over looked and if you can add a intake that has a 1/4 strength of the extractor.
With 350cfl you'll be looking at a good bit of weed on the go. But I would recommend getting a 250watt normal grow light Mh to start and hps to flower them. Happy growing

you have 20 cf of tent the fans 130 cfm you air exchange is 6+ a little even going threw a diy filter you should be fine

Thanx for the info currently theyre already half way through flowering and hid isnt an option for me

What do you guys think of this idea. I can either grab a 4 - 5 inch inline from ebay and have to wait a month or so or i could spend the same amount minus abit of shipping and time and just get 2 of the small 3 inch ones that i posted a pic of and either run them with a small filter each or just y them into a slightly bigger/longer single filter and just have them on a fan speed timer in the unlikely case of over cooling the tent

Forgot to mention that i do plan of getting a 250 watter kit but only once this grows done as i have no extra cash after ive sorted the venting part

Well i just went ahead and used the credit card and got this tell me what you all think of the setup so far
