not sure about how to do that on a phone...in a browser you just click the little button on the left edge of the address bar and pick clear cookies...
I have never learned to selectively clear cookies. I refuse to have to login again to sites I already cookied up to suit. So a total “clear cookies” I consider an act of desperation.

its not a total clear cookies, in the address bar of your browser (on a computer) theres a little button, usually at the beginning of the address, that will have a drop down, and clear cookies is one, and it's only for that site...you can use it to get around nearly every newsites content blocking wall of ad, the cookies count how many times you've accessed articles, and after a certain number you get the ad of death, till it resets next month. you just delete those site specific cookies and you have a fresh count

That leaves me with this contradiction unresolved. I’m surprised you of all people expect me to accept defeat.

What book?
i don't expect you to accept anything, it's a little silly that we're having something approaching an argument over your inability to do something on a phone, that i don't know how to do either...the only time i access the internet on my phone is when i'm looking for something at home depot and want to see what bay its in...i have two computers sitting in front of me, thats where i go to get online...i can tell you how to do tons of shit on a pc or laptop, my phone experience is limited to texting and playing solitaire...

90% of the time I go online for a procedure, i get to a step in the sequence where it says “now click (thing)” and (thing) isn’t there. It kind of bugs me.

that's because you could be looking at instructions for the wrong device. even version makes a big difference. like i said now you know how to clear your phone.

Is this the thread where someone said Hitler was a lefty? Last night when I was doing my midnight ramble, the name of that book came to me. Anyway anyone wanting a satirical look inside Nazi Germany should read Party Games by Hans Hellmut Kirst. I read another of his that was real good too, but I can't think of the name of that one.
