Fabric Pots or Plastic

You might go with the #3 pot if your tent height is only 5ft. Unless your going for meticulous canopy management with a long veg then I’d consider a #5

Plastic buckets funnel the water alright. Right down the sides.

Thank you for this comparison!! Do you have final numbers yet, or is it current? It may look like the air pot might have yielded more, but not by a whole lot. Do the air pots leak as bad or worse than the fabric ones?

Do fabric pot constantly wick water into the room?
I'd expect them to and my humidity is already a problem, I've only ever found nutrient running out anything if I've let the coco dry out to much, keep it sufficiently watered and it won't happen.

Fabric pots do a great job of air pruning the roots........my problem with them is they have to be elevated to drain properly and they're difficult to move around. Plus they wear out. My air pots are over 10 years old.

I've never had a leakage problem with either. My medium is very light and absorptive and I add water slowly to a slight runoff that's caught
by a paper towel under the elevated pots. I epoxied an extendable spout on my water jug (1st. picture) to more easily control flow and placement
