You might go with the #3 pot if your tent height is only 5ft. Unless your going for meticulous canopy management with a long veg then I’d consider a #5
Plastic buckets funnel the water alright. Right down the sides. The only advantages from plastic pots ime are as follows
#1 If you intend to transplant up to bigger pots you want to use plastic until the final transplant. Then go to fabric.
Fabric pots become a bit of an issue for getting the plant out once its roots have reached the sides of the grow bag.
With a plastic pot they just come out.
#2 runoff comes out of the sides of fabric bags if you water too fast or too close to the side of the bag. While plastic pots funnel it down. So if you have a real tight space that becomes hard to keep clean, having the runoff funneled to the bottom tray can save some messes.
Thank you for this comparison!! Do you have final numbers yet, or is it current? It may look like the air pot might have yielded more, but not by a whole lot. Do the air pots leak as bad or worse than the fabric ones? You be the judge. Auto BlueBerry Domina, same day sprout, only difference, one in plastic, one in fabric.
Both 5 gal, both 7+oz. dry.
It ain't the arrow, it's the Indian.
There are lots of pot elevators and these are a bit pricey but I loves them in my heart https://www.amazon.com/square-farmer-Plant-Garden-Saucer/dp/B07YN8SBJC/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=square+farmer&qid=1608674505&sr=8-1Fabric pots do a great job of air pruning the roots........my problem with them is they have to be elevated to drain properly and they're difficult to move around. Plus they wear out. My air pots are over 10 years old.
I've never had a leakage problem with either. My medium is very light and absorptive and I add water slowly to a slight runoff that's caughtThank you for this comparison!!
