hahhahhah. It looks like the admins took down one of my posts... Probably because "someone," i won't name names, cried about it. Too funny. and not a big deal either..... Moving on....

Thalasprofit - I hope that through all the BS, you were able to get an idea on how to get your hydro grow set up and going. Did you take a look at the DWC reservoir link that I placed in one of the threads??? The one that shows how I build my reservoirs (post #4)? They work very well, and it's a really simple system to learn on, yet is robust enough to be used for years of growing and get excellent results.

Good luck to you, buddy. I hope that your hydro grow is a great success and you turn out some killer Green. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I'll help if I can...

Growing in soil is easier than hydro. In hydro you have alot of maintenence with resevoirs and checking and adjusting PH etc. etc. Remember the plant depends on you for all nutrients. I would say to keep growing in soil until that is easy then do the switch IMO.
I agree stay in soil unless your going to be doing 100s of plants. then you have alot of soil to get rid of. and alot of watering.

Reservoir:
Rubber Maid Pitcher = $1

Air supply system:
AirPump = $5
AirHose = $1
Airstone = $1-$5

Support for roots and medium:
Net Pot = $1
or
Rx Bottle that can be popped into the lid of the pitcher.
(has to be modified by cutting out holes in the bottle for roots to be able to enter into the reservoir)

Medium:
Coco Fibre = $5
(you can buy coco liner from homedepot and cut it to fit into your netpot/plastic makeshift net pot)
or
Hydroton clay = $5

Dont know what the exact total is, but you can grow autoflowers easily in such a container. I pulled 2oz from a lowryder varient in a 2 quart pitcher.
Also the lights I used was a 60w 2700k cfl and two 23w 2700k cfls on the sides.

Also forgot the obvious black electrical tape to black out the reservoir so light doesn't kill the roots.
