If you were an employer, and you had an employee that wasn't working out, would you continue to pay them?
Nope.
I’d build a case against them through HR (employers bestie) then fire them and fight the SUI.
But the issue with that is..depending on employers current SUI rate in the state employee resides, tells a story.
I happened to have a conversation with one and was told flat out they know employers are liars..the higher (SUI rate), the liar.

Documentation is key and if you have an employee handbook that’s not legally reviewed you will automatically lose your case if it goes to judge.
I’ll never understand why employers think they can just download a copy they find online and use it.
