Exausting outside of grow room

It broke down and guys been out like 5 times Ive been worried it will come up. They looked in my room already and didnt say anything. I personally thought it was fixed I and others havent noticed anything.

One my room mates actually defending me to my surprise saying they dont think its my grow. I used to smoke cigs and vent outside but quit, that was pretty gross looking back.

I actually debated that Id do this regardless as the house isnt equal. It gets hot quick in my room without the appliances if the ac is off, was argueing to turn it on when everyone else was fine.

It was part the reason they let me drill holes in the door and do this. The ac guys messed up a few times but theyre good despite that. Idk why theyre getting called again.

Damn one of them said they noticed the window and the setup and that it cluld have something to do with it. Probably going to just confront them about it let know everything I have to show whatever I have to. And just weave it out.

Let it get 75F and unhook my setup for a few hours or a day and see if that brings it down a little or solves it.

Ill do it so everyone finally leaves me tf alone. Is it hard to dial in a new unit or do these guys suck im not the only one questioning. They did screw up a couple times.

Lmao so we talked. I showed the whole shebang. Not the issue. More curious. Have worked on bigger scenes. Cool as heck. Ya I watched some how it works on ac units its complicated but I wasnt the only one wondering.

Its not like weve installed one before. We were asking others if this was like that with them. It was working pretty damn good though my highs read 70F dehuey going off all day and night.

Glad thats over with now I can happily grow!

Ive never heard of this challenge that you should beware before growing that your ac wont work and will heat up the whole house…. leds…

My roomates are being super cool to me suggesting basement grow etc. They did start out blaming my grow for dumb things like coco smelling like soil or bugs or my grow stuff being in front of the furnace causing it to not work.

It was found it wasnt my grow but whats dumb is this didnt stop the heat from working. Any time its remotely weed related they got pissed but they are cool this time. I could be panicking right now.

What's wrong with exhausting inside? It's a lot less complicated to set up at least...

I understand your housemates' thinking - you're basically taking cool air from the house, pulling it into your tent(s), and sending it outside. The air has to get replaced from somewhere, which would be warm air from outside, through various cracks and openings in the home.

I guess it depends on if the AC system in your house is powerful enough to cool the air that gets pulled into the house, before it gets exhausted out. I don't think the exhaust from a small grow would be so much that a central AC system can't keep up, but I dunno...

They think its a cop out. Like I said they screwed a couple basic things up not even checking to diagnose. Were giving it a try just to see. Roommates really dont believe thats the issue tho but just trying it so they see.

Might have to have someone else take a crack at it. If I have to vent into same room and me simply be uncomfortable in 80F so be it. I sacraficed a lot to get to this point. Im harvesting what seems to be close to a pound today.

We dont understand the logic that the grow can exist with heat giving off of it but all hell breaks loose if you vent outside and keep that same room below 72F…

The fact they just told me yesterday it probably isnt the issue… Just dont seem right. So far the ac is still doing the same thing and its not even hot today.

My room is negative air pressure a little barely air being pulled from the vast space that is the rest of upper floor. So maybe my room will suck in heat but the whole house shouldnt be even the slightest bit of negative air pressure.

Just a heads up, exhausting back I to the house will cause the heat to go up much faster than pulling a little extra air through the air-conditioner by venting outside. That is 100% the reason I put an exterior exhaust in.

What you mean exterior exaust, a passive intake for the house itself? Or basically my original setup being better for the ac unit and the whole house?

So far temps going up its not helping, not even hot out today.

Temps got 90f in mars hydro tent and 87F in the bedroom. Dehuey must of got it up and then lights on just threw out of control. 68f in home but also outside so no real load.

The ac was off all morning so its like before I even grew, turning ac on even though most of house is cool already.

Yesterday was already showing this was not working and they need to come back. 5F too hot not catching up in 80f weather. Or 75. Enough to see its not working.

Door open dropped temps to 78f 85f in mars tent. Dehuey blowing cooler air and not ruining the rh in tents and bedroom. This was a flashback to why vent outside its about heat in summer like this morning.

Unbearable. Just doing whatever to get by for the next month probably. Jeez how you dont figure out before a season is over would just be wow.

Should I buy a pc fan and put on the door duct flange vent to vent in? Thinking it will keep it best as possible without the door open.

Or I can vent out the door vent because thats what I want, the heat transfer which is why its ok again now.

One the guys did ask if I can open window and source air from out side. Idk though if its 90F out.

May I add I have a heat probe and controller I can add one of these fans on to, the tent fans or the door vent fan if I add one.

Idk how my room being 88F doesnt effect the closed system but when its 70F but vents out, it ruins the whole system. Which doesnt have to be on if the thermostat thinks its at temp and shuts off… Wtf.

edit its actualy holding temp better today at 80F out so they may be right the hvac guys. As I think about it it makes sense. Being a closed system its losing more air than it can condition its meant to be a closed system.

Just my guess but damn this sucks this whole thread is a mockery of why not to exaust outside. Still seeing but I guess it can take days to condition it so roomates shouldnt be opening doors and windows either if hot days are coming.

edit 82f out 70 inside 68 thermostat. So yup same as yesterday. edit this is BS the house light fixtures with cfl burning 175F just few mins being on and my mars hydro 120F.

Never heard of “No turn of the lights or the ac wont work” Never either seen growers run into this issue even venting in same room.

Well there ya have it. Its over 90 and its 69 set to 68. Dont exaust outside its clearly a factor and even having a grow is too. Ive narrowed it down to some from lights but really its the dehuey.

It needs to cycle new air or in the same room it alone will make the room 90F. I just found our home is not even 3k feet so this dehuey could dehuey the whole damn house.

So what should I do from here? I still have duct flanges on door can easily stuff a pc fan in either one to vent in or out or both if it dont just spin air in circles.

I should try asking the hvac guys but I have yet to again but may have to see if theyll take time to help as they may not come back. Not if its working. I guess it takes days to see imrpovement.

Googling what the air coming out should be ac systems are a bit finicky they cant cool drastically. How do yall in deserts deal with this?

Ive read time time again until venting out that dehuey would heat a small space too much. Put it in the grow room or just outside it? Then grow room rh will spike.

Have door vent blow dry air from outside the bedroom door? I should just start messing around. I dont think the guys can get it any cooler.

I have two dehueys one for backup but after I use it for drying because its humid season 80rh in home often so instead of huey for 60rh drying im only dehuey the dry room.

I think since ive disconnected vents the whole home has been dropping rh to like 60. But what if it was in the center of upper floor? I just know the grow room rh will rise.

Open a window and pc fans exaust into the house through the door vent. Just whatever doesnt need to have door open would be nice.

Anyway this video explains how dehueys work its interesting I never saw it in 3d imaging like that. Whats interesting is dehueys shouldnt be used below 65f, anyone know that?

Thats not hard to do in a northern home it regularly drops below 65 in basement and upstairs. Hell what if half the reviews bad are related to this? Idk.

Says I can reduce heat by reducing fan speed, trying that.

Thats another helpful vid. Better off getting a window unit. Should ask if they can help with that and if thats ok. 100 square ft should be easy most would be overkill but will have more robust performance.

For once my grow actually is the problem but roommates still being cool about it and its just 3 months of the year. Its cold pretty much almost 3/4th the year.

So yea the hvac guys were saying the same thing the guy in the vid explained. Negative air pressure is bad for a home ac. Hopefully it wasnt enough to suck gas out or something.

We lived in a house that allegedly was a grow house because it vented the whole house when on and stunk like gas. I really, really didnt think it was that bad. Neither do some of yall but flat wrong.

Its rising in temps we may have them come back actually so this is on going. Vid explains why portables suck and cause the same issue im dealing with.
