Well here we go,WEEEEEEEEEEEEEH, what a plummet we will witness,across the board price hikes, prices NOW 5 yrs post pandemic are about what I'd guess are 2035 prices if you asked me in 2020 when I paid 99 cents for a gallon of Poland Spring now at $1.79. By summer economic carnage will have Americans apoplectic and filled w/rage,the summer of discontent brought upon us by a demented 80 y/o to senile to do the proper math.
The only way tariffs he's pushing work is w/PLANNING. America would need 2 DECADES to gear up for what he's proposing. And that's 2 DECADES w/the country all rowing in unison,investing in mfg,and having the workers to fill the need (largely composed of those he wants to expel from the country). And the reason mfg. left in textiles and other mfg. sectors in the 1st place was because they were made cheaper by exploiting foreign labor, Americans can't and WON'T, and DIDN'T want to work in factories for the low wages that produce these products that fill the Wal Marts and Dollar stores of the world and tell me who's building these factories anyway? Trump is deranged and thinks all this infrastructure and the people to fill it when constructed will pop up overnight, it's completely irrational thinking and he's inexplicably fixated despite a 90% consensus (Wall St. Journal inc.) that tariffs applied in this manner will fail, tanking our economy, just ONE more sign that putting a overconfident narcissist in the Wht. House is disastrous.
As I predicted cracks are beginning to form as 4 Rep. Senators joined the D's in rebuking his tariffs on Canada,it's a start,and Rand Paul defecting is telling. Trump, also let it be known that Musk is nearing an end,in a make nice type of announcement that hides the fact that he played the fool in Wisc. w/his "cheese head" stunt and his millions trying to buy a state SC court seat adding tho the DOGE blowback at R town halls.
The inevitable Dow collapse,economic pain resulting in a probable recession will have every day Americans in a foul mood as this summer will bring more than just seasonal heat, the fire under Trump's ass and those of his minions will play out w/palace intrigue. Who will he blame to deflect his idiotic embrace of tariffs? Who will defect off his sinking ship w/ the inevitable treachery to come? Will he swallow his pride and admit error (unlikely) or did he light the match that blows his MAGA fraud platform up a mere 6 mos into his term? All these answers will present themselves shortly,turbulence is coming FAST and I'm anticipating many sour faces (mine included) at the supermarkets and retail stores shortly as this is the LAST thing consumers need after weathering post-pandemic inflation and a 180 from his campaign promises, the surprise isn't for blue voters as you reap what you sow.
