Most of the strains i do don't even begin stretching til day 6-7. At day 5, these have already taken off. I may be in trouble, just hoping they stop stretchig by week 3. I too have had a love/hate relationship with Dr. GT. There is some classic thread on RIU by me regarding his signature strain, Endless Sky, and it wasn't very pretty. Actually it was a complete disaster. But if you choose wisely, he does have more good than bad stuff, if you can get by his prices. IMG_0795.jpg

So there's a guy who is associated with Ethos in some way on THCFarmer, seems to grow out testers and such from them. I normally get new stuff as soon as it's released, and he is always about to finished them when I just am starting them. Here's pic of his Apex....it's the Mandarin pheno, day 61 in flowering.

And his comments when i asked him how they smoked?

"I haven’t cut them yet, they’ve got about week or so yet, but from what Colin was saying the chunky one leans more mandarin cookie with a strong yet clear high that can be enjoyed during the day, where the other pheno leans more Lilac D and has higher levels of thc and terps, great for extracting."

It's safe to say at this point this strain did not stretch anywhere near what i expected...........budding has starting and they probably won't stretch more than another couple of inches at this point (day 16 today). Not that I'm complaining. Just surprised that with Ethos's description as a "vigorous" grower, they stayed medium height and very manageable.

When flowering was started the 6 tallest plants were in the back row. Not anymore. This has been the easiest strain to grow out of all the Ethos stuff I've done. 100% germination, mild fertilization rate, very reasonable stretch, sturdy branches and main stem, and a mild odor output at this point. 50 days to go......

been reading through some of your grows on ethos....so your chem og yielded a tad better than your zweet inzanity? did you find zweet inzanity had more stretch?

They were actually close to each other........25% of the Zsweet Inzanity were the tallest, close to 7 ft. Most everything else in both strains was between 5 1/2 and 6 ft. Ethos concentrates on sativa's and sativa hybrids, so most of their stuff will be on the taller side. Everything basically goes into flowering after 4 weeks, so nothing gets an extended veg period. Regarding yield, I often pull a plant or two if they turn into runts, or has some other issue so you have to make sure it's apples to apples plant count wise. Thinking about it all, Zsweet did yield better than the Chem OG, but not by much overall. You also have to consider how much is left on the plants after flowering, and I think I left a lot on the plants when trimming. If you are willing to let the plants finish off the buds not ready when trimmed initially, you can probably add another oz. per plant in both strains.
