They screwed him when they called him back to help them out by changing his contract and screwing him out of 3 month's severance. His tweet probably landed him a job, his kind don't usually have a problem with that, and Elon will have competition that might come back to bite him later. Plenty of people see an opportunity in Elon's folly, just like they do with Putin's folly, ill-considered and informed decisions by ego driven despots surrounded by sycophants.

The biggest problem with Elon is his idea (which is also shared by many Republicans), that he was able to succeed through his hard work and perseverance, and in correlation to that, anyone who isn't succeeding is failing to do so out laziness and lack of determination. People like Elon fail to realize is that every individual has their own inherent unique challenges and abilities. I'm sure that LeBron James practiced basketball for many hours a day for most days of his life to become one of the greatest basketball players, and if he hadn't put in so much work, he surely would not have achieved the same success. But that doesn't mean that anyone who puts in as work as LeBron James achieve the same level of skill, because LeBron has unique inherent abilities, which most people will never have.

Now what do these people really have a hair up their asses about, not the mealymouthed lies, the real core issues that are driving them. Do they object to children learning the truth, learning to be more empathetic and better people, or to tolerating and including different people in their community? They seem to have a problem with tolerance, book burning, and banning is popular among them as are conducting social warfare on minorities of all kinds. What does "woke" mean to them, it's no insult to be awake to life's realities, perhaps that's their problem, they are still asleep, or dead inside. It's like liberal, it actually means freedom and they say they are all for that. They are a study in irony, hypocrisy, self-deception, tribalism and just plain bullshit.

It looks like you are dealing with a wounded ego thrashing around, he's like a bull in the ring with the picadors tormenting him with their barbs before the Bullfighter sets him up for the kill with the hidden sword. He also seems similar to Trump and Putin, two ego driven assholes being tormented relentlessly on their way out. Elon has a lifeboat and a pretty big cushion to break his fall and could keep a stripped-down version of twitter going for a long time. His real problem will be he destroyed his brand with people and companies who count the most to him. Competition will arise to take advantage of Elon's folly and even market off his tweets, people can migrate to new platforms easily on the internet and tweets will provide links to the competition.
