Electrician advice

Here's the top of the stairs. I'm gonna make a doorway to seal off the opening on this partial wall too. The stairwell is the "Exaust room" and will slowly send the exhausted hot air towards my ac return vent. There's an extra ac vent in my bathroom downstairs below the stairwell and Was thinking I could rig it to connect to my ac return vent so that it pulls the hot air through the gaps in my stairs and into the ac system to be conditioned and recirculated.. Whatcha think

Should be eazy peazy if he knows what he's doing. Good luck.!!

And don't be cheating and using the duct work for your feed, the jacket isn't rated for that. Get yourself a fish tape and/or gopher poles.
Haha must have read my thoughts! I'll just wait to start until my friend gets here on that note.

Often times when running from the basement to a second floor we'll pop a 1" hole to the outside, get 2 ea. 1" PVC LBs and 2 ea 10' sticks of 1" PVC pipe. Then run THHN (individual #10 or #12 wires) inside the pipe OR bump it up to 2" and just push your whole feed - jacket and all - thru. Another option (looks shabby) is to just pop a hole outside and get your feed rated for outside and just run it with some fasteners to the upstairs. Then you don't even need to run pipe.

I'd hate to wire up a pipe outside like that. Would love to find a wall I could drop through. But if i have to that's not so bad i guess.

You'd be surprised. The grey PVC running up the house looks "normal" and like it should be there. Not off putting at all - unless you run it over your picture window. :bigjoint:
