I think what Eddy was doing was simply leasing each plot to a bunch of individual medical users. Eddy was growing the pot and the medical users were paying Eddy for the spaces. All Eddy was doing was the farming. And ... Eddy owns the land the plants were being grown on. But still ... 36,000 plants, right on the side of the road isn't something Big Brother (DEA) is going to settle for. They have WAY too much power to lose by letting Eddy shove it in their faces. At least that's the way the totalitarians at the DEA look at it.

there are a lot of reasons that the government has laws in place..some of these we know others we dont. citizens out-number government enforcers by a lot. a million to one maybe. fierce odds. if the public wishes a referendum on a law, we only need to be willing to pursue it. if this is done without the tumor of violence that erupts in any large protesting crowd, the government will not be able to use its enforcers to extinguish the threat. everytime they do, against peaceful demonstrators, they're bound to lose a lot of money in court. to put some examples toward the point im talking about say if eveyone in san diego or eugene or any sizable city desided they were going to plant their entire back yards and all the local parks with ganja. as long as no one resisted arrest or attacked officers, they couldnt hold a fraction of everybody. people being this organized im sure would bail out the first few people they tried to arrest. imagine if they tried to imprison cigarettes smokers. but what im saying is if the public desides its going to grow herb, our government wont stop it. they make plenty of money now. when they are forced to legalize they will make money then as well. i dont assume they arent prepared. if plethra of people follow eddy's ambition for our right to smoke, then victory will be afoot. im sure at that point all the organizations of lawyers and civil rights groups (norml aclu etc) will swoop in like vultures for the steamy meat of bloated law-carcus. but that would only be the beginning. there would be internal struggle amongst those who want it taxed so they can sell it and those that want to be able to grow their own. hopfully by that time people will make good about working together and the petty crap will stop. im a little outta my gorde tell me what u think. [CENSORED] has some pretty good protest 'blueprints' for making giant and successful protests. hopfully [CENSORED] can get things going by summertime.

If one were to look back into our history ... the history of prohibition to be exact, one would find some interesting facts. Alcohol prohibition ended for several reasons. The gangster/criminal aspect is one. The production of bad, dangerous booze is another. But the main reason is ... the government could no longer get convictions because of jury nullification. In other words, juries would vote to not convict those charged with simple possession. That's all we have to do, guys ... get on juries and note to not convict in NON-violent drug cases.

sf was the most recent county in my area that publicly declared medical marijuana cases as their LOWEST priorty. sonoma county has announced the same thing. to much money spent on non convictions. i think slowly they are starting to understand.

thats exactly what this is comparable too. during alcohol prohibition churches were entirely over packed because of people wanting a sip of that christ blood. i mean we dont need to start shooting places up, maybe ghandi had the right idea. peaceful, non-compliance against unjust regulations. he had so many people following him just because of his mindframe (he was only a hindu lawyer) that the british wouldnt kill him and they couldnt keep him locked up for long. eventually his cause won. until the two main religions (problems always comes right back to religion) had to start fighting for what they all felt was theres. so thus hindus kept india, and pakistan was made just for muslims. did i mention that the muslims and hindus were working together while he was protesting? ive never heard of religions working together. we shoud investigate this.
