I guess you can try to contact the site mods but i don't think you should give up on the site man. so many many people here admire and respect your work man, you are doing great shit and you always got some of the sickest pics and always good researched info. Anyway I ended up bringing down the Mendo at 7 weeks yesterday morning and I have found a way to cut my dry time in half sometimes more! I know they say to never let a fan blow straight at the buds but.. What I was doing before was hanging them on my lamp shade with paper clips and it would take 3-4 days till it was smokable(little harsh sometimes) but needs to be jarred for a day or so... Well now I hang the buds by paper clips in my mom cab which I have extra space at the end in, and the buds hang in front of my old window fan that used to be in my flower cab. I leave em in there swinging around on the clips and in 2 days sometimes less depending how big and dense the bud is it's ready to be jarred up IMO. They are nice and crispy and actually burn even at this point but of course are a bit harsh but not any harsh then sacks bought off the street in my experience. But after being in the jar and burped every hour for half the day they are nice and smooth, of course they get better the longer they cure but this has been awesome for me cuz I'm poor can can't wait all the time. Thought you all might like to know that little trick of mine...
Bitti I'm smoking some Mendo Purple right now and DAMN! I'm so happy with this strain, i didn't yield shit off this time around 3.7g wooooo hooooo I think it's the Mendo Purp x OG Kush cut going around but I will dial it in and get that 7g a cut damn it! I will say it grows twice as fast as the SR71 PK so that's a huge plus! I have my mom started which was a clone rooted and transplanted 2-6-09 and it's already twice as big as the SR71 PK mom I'm making that was a clone rooted and transplanted 1-20-09!!!!! They were both 2.5" cuts that I made the clones with isn't that crazy how much faster the Mendo is?? I'm so excited about that

That is what I used for my first lady.
Im NOT hatin on CFL, but I think you certainly have a choice, there seems to be no right or wrong, or best or worst. But to get back to about what you choose to use for light. Personally, I think CFL is compared to small grows while HPS is compared to big. I dont mean youll get small results, Im sayin you have to use smaller STYLE such as SOG or stems or one COLA wonders and ya, youll pull a pound with those CFL'rs.. But, with some extra work involved.
Thats all, and you stuff pretty spiral bulbs in your cab and have all the watts you want, and pick lil stems and SOG and COLA grows, and work yourself slightly harder than what you have to, to make it work, but if you want taller, easier plants to grow in a bigger environment and an easier time with LOTS of growth use HPS. all im sayin, cause with those CFL's, im workin those bulbs man, up and down and left and right, and oh shit thats gettin burned and oh man i better watch that side and all that crap.
Add all that up and what do you get?
Big buds on BOTH sides of the camp. So what are you trying to say exactly? that you can stick a HPS in a micro grow sog compared to CFL and wholl be the winner? HUH? WHAT?> nope. WOW those plants really soak up the lumes that close with THAT PERFEKT SPREKTRUMM OMG with CFL? HUH WHAT?
Its Strain, Grow Style, Size and space dependant. So eventually you will find what works for you.
CFL is so cheap, before you spend the loot, at least give CFL's a shot, give it a chance, come back to RIU, and post some damn pic's and quit lyin' bout your shit. (not talkin bout anyone in here I just like to rant thats all)
Call me retarded or whatever I dont care, I have my own thoughts on CFLs and Im stickin to em.
Im not sayin theres a winner, Im sayin BOTH sides can have alot of fun and do what they love and have a great expreience and investigate for themselves. In my eyes, were ALL winners.

Snowman wtf are you trying to say? you sound like you are hating on CFLs in one sentence and then promoting them the next??? As for BIG HPS BUDs to me it's all going to be small when it hits the bowl or papers ect ahaha But I will still say I'd take T5's and Envirolites in a 4x4 tent over HPS and thats a bigger grow than what I'm doing now. But I am planning on getting a E&F Table that holds 15 6" square pots and put it in a Homebox in the corner with 2 Envirolites and Sunblaze T5 strips on the sides and I bet I shit on what I could get with a 400w HPS.. In do time folks in do time, for those who doubt me check The DrBud Method by Thundurkel where I proved everybody wrong while still very noobish at the time. I've learner a lot since then and keep improving each grow, I'm also researching what strains work best for fast growth and high yield in small spaces since no book out there is telling us micro growers much at all...

Look at my grow man,180 some watts and all that for one plant. Maybe I'm wasting my light inthis way but it is dark way down there at the base of the stem. I messed up as a nub and shoulve went sog but I didn't. I got mylar and all that.

I think autoflowwering anything on a higher light schedule as 20/4 all the time throughout the grow and low lifes and short plants would be one of the beststrain to grow to take advantage of the time of light and of the extrA spectrumTerribleTrichomes said:

Autoflowers suck IMO you can't keep a mother which defeats my whole system... I'm not going to tell you sorry I'm not done with my research and I plan on putting a book together for us micro growers.
