Your e.c. is fine,I've pushed mine to 2.5,when the tips burn back off.Let the plant tell you what it needs...cultivar dependant of course.EC is 1.0 but plants don't seem to mind. Thinking of doing a 10-25% water change after this harvest. Next line of ladies don't seem to mind it either, but worried about chemical build up in the tanks. Any suggestions for this aero-aqua grower?

Wow, man, 2.5 EC? You did catch the aero-aqua, right? The ladies are only half the equation. I care about the fish too. I can't have them swimming in a toilet bowl.Your e.c. is fine,I've pushed mine to 2.5,when the tips burn back off.Let the plant tell you what it needs...cultivar dependant of course.
Hey man! Nice to know I'm not the only one. I'm way up by Canada, in Van Buren.Hey dumme..just wanted to say best of luck to a fellow Maine grower!! What part you from? I live in Scarborough..
That's 840 ppm... lolIt depends on where where you live. That's why I hate ppm measurement's on international forums. There's no standard for PPM, unless you use EC or CF. Why make it more complicated?
USA 1.0 EC = 500 PPM
Europe 1.0 EC = 640 PPM
Australia 1.0 EC = 700 PPM
I'm in Maine, USA, btw, and it is a ".org", but I didn't know who'd respond. I know people from all over who use this site.
Rut roh... my rant in another thread about the scam that hydro store nutrients are may have hit a nerve. To which I'd say that it's the distributors who are the crooks, not the hydro store owners. No snow. Raining like hell right now, but cold. Yes, I'm a card holder/caregiver/ hydro store owner.
Nah, it's because I consider myself retired. Some days I don't even open, some days I sell for cheaper then I buy. For me, it's all about getting the local people informed and involved. I don't even consider the other local hydro stores competition.Rut roh... my rant in another thread about the scam that hydro store nutrients are may have hit a nerve. Yes, it's illegal. Somehow, because they are the big corporation, they get away with price fixing.Nah, it's because I consider myself retired. The suppliers made me sign a contract just like they do with all the other hydro stores. It's very close to being called price locking and it's illegal as hell. This contract says, can't advertise any of merchandise for any less then 10% of MSRP. To me, it's bullshit, ripoff prices to my customers, and I don't play that game.
In my store, I'll tell the customers exactly what they're buying. If I can't get it cheapest, I don't sell it, but I'll tell you where you can get it cheaper. I sell used stuff, people come in with it all the time.
To get around the contract I signed, my store slogan is, "we match online retailers", and it works out very well. Now my advertising isn't in violation of the contract, I advertise MSRP, and I'm still the cheapest out there.
For example, another store local in Presque Isle, sells FoxFarm Ocean Forest for $23.** and might knock off 10-15% if you're a regular. At the time of sale, I'll Google it, find the cheapest base price, and sell it for that. Right now I'd be selling the same 1.5cf bag for $12.50. (SHC Online match). My margins are very low.
When you get going, send me a some info on it, I'll sell your product in my store.Yes, it's illegal. Somehow, because they are the big corporation, they get away with price fixing.
I bought hundreds of pounds of dry nutrient salts a couple years ago. I still have over half of it. It cost me between ONE and FIVE PERCENT of what nutrients in waterbottles cost art the hydro store locally.
I'm currently developing a commercial growing system that will put their whole business model in the dustbin of history; no powder coated metal reflectors, ballasts or BULBS.
My pH truncheon gives EC x 500 and 700. I'd swear on a stack of bibles there's an 840 scale out there... somewhere.
I like looking at stuff that people are trying that's a lil out there. No one is going to learn anything without trying something new.Still would like some input on the whole EC thing I got going on. Only Flash63 had any info. My EC seem to be rising, and I had a couple of fish keel over since I posted. Just not sure if its toxicity related. Any help would be very much appreciated.
I'm learning more and more that my system is rare, but there's got to be some others that have done aero-aqua before. At leased aqua guys...
I'm game, but since it's scaled for commercial operators, the display might take up a lot of room! When you get going, send me a some info on it, I'll sell your product in my store.
