It may work, but he's right, you're much better off in terms of stability by positioning the crossbars properly. Also, those zipties look a little small. Personally I'd pic zipties double the girth.

Has anybody paid for the grow tent packages on Ebay is it worth it
I haven`t read the whole thread so if this has been said I apologize now.
If you get a tent from ebay or anywhere else, one thing to make sure of is that the corner and all pole connecting pieces are made from steel and not plastic. You can get away using the plastic ones for a bit if your not hanging anything heavy (eg Carbon filter). You don`t want to come home one day to a burnt house cause the plastic pole joint broke.

I found a tent called zazzy with steal that can handle 110 lbs
