Hello all. What initially started as a question about PHing with pro mix has evolved into a semi grow journal on mixing Promix BX with DG Foliage Pro. I've grown with DG for a year or two, however I usually used Happy Tree frog soil. If you are using DG FP, or you are just curious about a simple one part nutrient formula that works, feel free to stay awhile and listen. I'm by no means a wizard with promix; in fact this will be my first grow with it. If you're a DG user, feel free to share your grow/knowledge or just lurk a bit.
Veg Day 8
Plants are recovering from the transplant and they are finally taking off again. One plant looks nice and green with very tight nodes. The other two got tall quick and are a little lime colored, but they are finally getting back to a semi normal wet/dry cycle. Drying out took 5 days after the transplant, but today they were finally nice and dry! Today was the first feed raising up to half strength for nutrients or 1/2 tsp FP per gallon. Normally I use 1/4 tsp per gallon through veg, but that's with extra nutrition from the soil. 1/2 tsp of FP came out to 280 PPM without counting the tap. If they show signs of burn, a simple fresh water feeding and lowering a bit should fix them up. I also use 1/8th tsp of Protekt per gallon and PH to 6 just to be safe. Here they are pre water. I'll post again once they have a couple hours to dry. These plants are Sugar Cane photos from IHG.
