yea thanks... been looking for that for awhile.
Hey guys you have resold me on grwoing dwc. 5 gallon buckets are where I will be on my next grow in a month or so. I fig I will keep it simple and get 2 big ari pumps and 5 buckets with some 2 dollar 5 gallon sized net pot lids. Keep it as organc as I can too.
one question. you think I can veg in 4 in cubes then transfer to the buckets? Will that make huge 5 gallon buckets pointless? Will the extra room for growth not be used if they only get to veg in 4 in cubes for 2 months?
One question?
OXYGEN
O2 to the roots is a big concern, since the plant requires this for nutrients to be available, and to rid itself of toxins, etc. One of the easiest things to do is use food grade hydrogen peroxide in the water to increase the availability of oxygen in the water. H2O2 has an extra oxygen atom that will easily break away and can be used by the plant. Oxygen Plus is a plant food that contains 25% hydrogen peroxide and is perfect for this use.
Using a planting medium that allows for plenty of aeration is also really important. Be sure you have good drainage by using Perlite, sand, or gravel in your mix and at the bottom of pots. Don't use a medium that holds too much water, or you may significantly reduce the oxygen available to the plant. More on that in the section on hydroponics.
Aerating the water before watering is also a good idea. In the case of soil potted plants, use an air pump to aerate the water overnight before watering your plants, or put the water in a container with a cap and shake it up real good before giving to the plants.
no it isnt from there ....yes it is cut and paste from hereCopy/Paste from http://weedfarmer.com/growing_guide/oxygen.php huh.
mine are more in the shade... Hmmm... But it is closer to the fan... Dry out??Well slap me silly, there you are!!! I believe my pistils did that due to some hot temps. It only happened to the pistils near the 2700k bulb( grew close). What is your lighting like near the discolored pistils?

LOL this one question has 3 question marks in it. But i think i know what ur looking for. If u have 4 plants u want to put in five gallon buckets and u have enuff light to cover the area they take up.1 plant per every sq.ft. 1 bucket is less than 1X1 so U could grow some nice plants under a 400 watter keeping the 100 watts/ sq.ft. The extra room growing only depends on ur hieght requirements. If ur able to grow them taller in veg for more yield in harvest and u can than u should. Id top my plants and veg to 3 foot if i could allow them to grow 8 feet in harvest but i cant so i grow less smaller plants in the same amount of space to make up for yield.Hey guys you have resold me on grwoing dwc. 5 gallon buckets are where I will be on my next grow in a month or so.
