i keep looking for good DP blueberry grows, so i'll sub for luck here, eventually i'll find one
i do know that getting the blueberry to grow in a medium other than organic soil is not so easy
so you have actually seen a dp blueberry with no problems?! lol

P1000230.jpgP1000237.jpgP1000236.jpgP1000238.jpgP1000239.jpgP1000240.jpg22 days planted. definitely growth stunted. changed the res went up to 500ppm with nutes, filtered water was at 220ppm. besides the retarded looking growth, shes nice and green. im not sure if the odd growth is something im doing wrong or just the seed. i plan on vegging until shes at least 12inches, at this rate it looks like i will be vegging for another month or more:sad:. again dont know if thats me fucking up or just the seed. also snipped away the bad leaves, before and after pics 1 and 2.
all and any comments concerns criticism questions all that greatly appreciated.

its 4/20 you better be high!!! bongsmilie:eyesmoke:

not directly, though i have seen claims of good grows
this could be a very nice strain medically for me, just need to see that someone can grow it from start to end(and get what is claimed for it)

i see. well as you can see looking thru this thread, its been a bitch for me. NOT a good choice for a novice grower. and i am that.
i also heard the finished plant is an excellent smoke. hopefully i can get there.

it does have a reputation for being tough for new growers
all i can tell you is some have had the same experience in the beginning, but managed to get very nice results after finding the sweet spot(or so they say)

man i would seriously consider using soil and organic nutes. i use a 50/50 mix of Roots Organics and Fox Farms Happy Frog, but either of these alone will work well too. I don't recommend Ocean Forest especially if you want to grow blueberry, though a lot of ppl like it. I think it's too strong. Either way, organics nutes are much cheaper to use because they last a very long time, it's a lot harder to burn your plants and the taste is fantastic. I would say do that and get a few harvests before committing to hydro.

If you decide to stick with it, definitely get some easier strains in to really get down managing PH and PPM, etc. You should also probably try to find a different bucket. If i'm correct that looks like a Homp Depot bucket, which are not light proof. You do NOT want light in that res, as stuff will grow. sometimes walmart carries black buckets and they are great. Lowe's buckets are also light proof and i use those with success (the grey ones).

One more thing, you might try keeping the water level lower. i use almost the same exact setup, with a more beefed up airpump/stone, and i fill my buckets half way, sometimes just 1/3 full. Later on this will take more changing but it's worth it for the root health. You need to make sure the airstone creates enough bubbles, but this will act more like aeroponics than DWC, and is wonderfully efficient for the ease of operation.

thanx for your advice. i will be sticking with hydro, but i will be adding some organic hydro for my next grow. for this grow i didnt do good enough research on the strain and 'ate with my eyes' and just picked shit that looked good. i up for the challenge tho and all the numbers are looking good and steady. its the seed, i just got a mutant... doesnt sit well with me and dutch passion as i will not be running any of there gear in the near future. iv heard nothing but good things from tga so thats what i have coming in the mail.

i am using homedepot buckets and i was told they are light proof.. i dont no how i can check that lol i cant fit in there;-)

and the water level is 2 1/2 gallons, thats exactly half full. i started with 3 gallons the first week so the roots can reach easir then after the first res change i dropped it down, and next res change ima go even lower with 2 gallons.

growth is really slow as this lady, she finally starting to grow with more speed in the last couple of days, i think the roots have something to do with that.
i decided to top, hopefully the mutating/dis formed leaves will get better, if not, oh well. nothing i can do about it but just let her grow. hopefully the bud wont be affected.. anyone no if it will?
heres some pics. pic#1 was yesterday, pic2-5 was just now when i topped.
pic5 has a little bug on it, i flicked it off

well, there are still problems, but maybe some hope
that lower set of fans looks pretty good, and the color of the uppers is also good
but i'm a dirt grower, can't give much in the way of advice

35days. upped the nutes to full strength for that ass, 915ppm added water to bring it down to 800ppm. the mutant responded well to being topped, branches filling in, everything is green so all is well, for now... nice healthy roots... lets see how she responds to the nutes, will be watching her closely today and tomorrow if ANY sort of discoloring starts i will flush immediately.
i originally wanted to flower at day 35 but this bitch stunted on me, soooo at least 1 more week, more than likely 2 weeks. but will shall see.

i know very little about hydro, but i'd say be cautious with the flush strategy, maybe taper down instead of flush
i know this strain does not like sudden changes, more so than most, but it's your call - continued good luck either way

a little shot from under. i think i can be a photographer;-) nice shots of the branching as a result of the topping. new growth is normal nice and green with only hints of mutating leaves, a couple are crinkly and have even number of leaves but its MUCH MUCH improved from what they were before.
