Dumb ass quote of the sports year

Give Romo time, he'll choke it away.
Don't make me pull the stats showing that he is the best 4th quarter QB of all time.

He is money in crunch time. More game winning drives since he became starter then Peyton, Eli, Brady, Brees, Rodgers and any other QB in the league.

Career 106 QB rating in the 4th quarter. Higher than Rodgers who is second.

Has he thrown picks to end a game. Yup. And so does EVERY QB. What isn't mentioned(because hate the Cowboys narrative must win always) is the number of touchdowns he has thrown in the same situation. It's 3 times as many tds as interceptions.

You have also fallen for the ESPN narrative.

But I'm not surprised. We are Americas Team, most loved and hated. Dallas is the Yankees of football. And the Cowboys are worth more too. ;)

I always liked Kenny Stabler of the old Raiders teams. Gotta like a guy with a nick name, "the Snake" that would drink and carouse all night then pull out a win with seconds to spare.

Sounds a lot like the Staubach/ white led Cowboys of the 70's and 80's but not the 90's. The boys didn't have to make that many comebacks but they were partying up a storm.

I heard a story one time about Lawrence Taylor sending hookers and blow to his opponents the night before a game. Lol.

I have a couple other comments:

The never has been done before- incorrect.

Dallas vs Seattle(Romo's first playoff game)

It's almost the end of the game and Tony is driving the boys down the field. The boys are down in seattles redzone. It's 3rd and short. Romo passes to Witten, first down! Or so the ref signaled anyway. Nope. They conferred and said nope. 4th down.

The Cowboys send out the kicker to win the game(only a few seconds left in the game), only to have a slicked up ball go through the holders hands(who happened to be Romo, and it just so happens they made a rule because of that slick ass ball) and Dallas loses.

We didn't get another chance. Detroit had a couple. They blew them.

Edit: I think the real problem is how they pick refs for the playoffs. It's not the best crews. It's like the pro bowl for refs. Guys not working together all year suddenly have to. It's like playing defense in the pro bowl. There isn't any.
There is a reason Tony Romo is under.500 when it comes to playoff wins. It rhymes with broke. Sure he has good numbers regular season, but when it really matters to advance towards the one goal every player wants to reach ( Superbowl ) he chokes. Jerry surrounds the man with a pretty decent team and Romo seems to always fuck it up. Don't show me stats from regular season games. Show me stats in the playoffs, because that is what truly matters to be considered a great one. Greenbay will actually show how good your cowboys are . Money on the Packers. I also see you mentioned nothing about Dez running on the field without a helmet to argue with ref. 15 yard penalty.

enjoy highlights of Tony

Anti, you told me Romo is clutch, then you compared him to a bunch of QB's who have won Super Bowls. How many Bowls has Romo won? He can't even hold a long snap for a field goal...lol!

So you have conspiracy theories about referees?
NFL Refs. admitted not calling penalties on players going against Leroy Selmon. Excuse was "Otherwise they couldn't stop him". NFL crew admitted tanking, 2 and 10 Tampa Bay against Dallas. Excuse was "If Dallas lost they wouldn't have made the playoffs".Old examples,Yes. Does it show this goes on, Yes.

Wasn't there a nearly unanimous opinion to stick a fork in Seattle after game 6 by the ESPN. talking heads.

Here is what the pathetic stalker dude claims.

Too easy
You must have forgot the quote that I was quoting originally, plus WE weren't having a conversation, I was conversing with someone else when you rudely inserted yourself into the conversation and claimed it as your own.

Apologies for dragging you in the muck with Buck. I quoted what you said only as a back drop for my words. Then I showed those along with what his version claimed the words were. I was showing how Buck's gonna Buck and dragged you in, sorry for that.

Fair enough, apology excepted.

This is by far the best team he has had. I know. I follow the boys day in and day out. I spend more time on the Cowboys then you do here.

No he doesn't always fuck it up. He has fucked up 7 times. Hes succeeded 20+ times.

There is more than one player on a team. Tony does his job and I have the stats to prove he isn't a choker. In fact, he's better at winning games when down by a score in the 4th quarter then Aaron Rodgers.

He's better in the 4th quarter overall as well.

But that doesn't fit your narrative.

Quick: who's the only QB to throw for more than 400 yards and 4 tds and lose a game. It's only happened once in history. If only the defense had made the Broncos punt last year.

You really don't know too much about football do you? It's ok. Just keep believing the lies, and you'll feel better about yourself. Americas team is back.

Why should I have mentioned it? Play was over. He never took his helmet off(it was already off because he plays offense not defense). When a ref sees that, they warn the player to get off the field. If he doesn't, then they throw the flag. He got off when they said to.

If you want a flag on that, you better start wanting them to flag teams when they score too. Lots of players run on the field without a helmet on when that happens.

It's ok. Blame the refs. You just can't stand that the Cowboys made plays when they needed to, and Detroit didnt.

When the flag was thrown on Witten for holding on a TD, the Cowboys went and scored anyway. That happened to them twice that game. Both times they manned up and scored anyway. Stafford choked. Romo did not.

If you can't overcome the refs, you don't deserve to win.

Let me put it another way:

Refs suck. They fuck up all the time. Either overcome it or lose. The Cowboys did that. The Lions didn't.

BTW, did you see the hold on a Cowboys defender on Bush's 18 yd td? I did. Refs missed it. It was pretty blatant too. Look in the upper right hand corner under the fox logo and see how far the lion player gets the Cowboys player jersey pulled away from the cowboy players body:

That was a scoring play.

And one more for you:

Romo highlights(I doubt you've seen even half these plays. I saw them all happen live.)

Notice its about twice as long as his lowlights. Romo is a baller, and I know for a fact, if he was 0-18 against winning teams on the road and fumbled twice on his final drive(like Stafford), you'd be talking about that instead of a penalty that happened with over 8 minutes to go.

Anywho, keep on hating, my Boys love it and feed off it.

He shouldn't have been holding the snap in the first place as he was the starting QB. The reason he was the holder is because he didn't start the season as the starting QB. Drew Bledsoe did. Romo, having had been the holder(with no muffs) Bill Parcells continued using him as such. Tony hasn't been a holder since. As QB, he drove his team right down the field. You do get it was a slicked up ball and the league made a rule to fix that?

I'm comparing him to the best QB's in football because he is one of them.

Super Bowls are a team stat. If you go by that, that would make Trent Dilfer a better QB then Dan Marino. Eli manning as well and he is a turnover machine who's best season wasn't even as good as Romo's worst season.

Anyway, that's enough football for me on a politics forum.

again go check out his playoff stats. Defend that shit. You a cowboy fan. I'm a football fan. Big difference when dealing with reality. If you want a great QB to judge against use Tom Brady. Cowboys have not been shit since the 90's. This is there first playoff since 2009. There last conference championship was 1995. The best team they ever had was 93

He has appeared in 5 playoff games only winning two. His playoff completion rating is only 59.64. Out of 5 playoff games he only threw for 6 touchdowns. Only 6 touchdowns in 5 playoff games. GTFO

He has more playoff wins than Matty "Ice" Ryan. How do you get the nickname Ice when he is anything but?

Romo's sample size is small. Hows he doing this year? You know, when it counts?

Oh, he's over 60% completion percentage with 2 TDS already and sporting a 114 QB rating. This year. Its what matters most. This year.

He said it this year: You are going to see the best Tony Romo this year. So far we have. And he's done most of it with broken bones in his back .Haters gonna hate.

I hope you lose money. I really want my team to win, and things are looking up for them.

Dude I think Matt Ryan is one of the most over-rated QB. I make more money betting against the Falcons...lol
When it counts will be Sunday for Tony. Well shall see if we get this Romo you so talk about.

You seem to be the guy that follows football from NFLN and ESPN. Not in the same vein that I follow the cowboys(after all you are using the talking head speak of Romo is a choker, where if you actually looked as his body of work you'd realize it just isn't so)

I agree. His small sample size doesn't help him at all with playoff stats. If you looked, you would see he has improved.

Its still a team game though. Takes more than a QB to win.

And no they haven't been relevant when it comes to winning. The only relevance the cowboys have had is TV ratings, merchandise sales, and still being on the lips of all the talking heads. They just weren't talking about us winning. The Cowboys are the biggest draw in football year in and year out.

More GW drives and come from behind wins since 2006 than Brady(Tuck rule and a cheating coach lol) too.

Here's reality: The cowboys were mediocre the last 3 years(8-8 is straight up mediocre). It looks like the process has paidoff.

I hope so too. Ive seen it year in and year out during the regular season. This year, his team is not making him carry them on his back anymore.
Hopefully he continues his good play for 3 more games.
