Duct Tape the Stem?

I had a tall and scrawny lady while it was still indoors so I topped it. Now I have two 8 ft!! stems from the same stalk. Topping clearly didn't affect growth on this plant.

I tied each stem back, but oops......the Y in the stem has a bad split now. It's been like that for a week or so, but both sections are thriving and shooting up new primaries.

Can I pull the crack back together and duct tape it or will this cause more harm than good?

Thanks

Tape it together, if you don't and the plant starts getting heavy buds it may split even more. Your choice but I would just to be safe. Good luck :joint:

The same thing happened to my plant because I dropped the light on it. I used masking tape to tape the branch back on and I noticed that during harvesting that the branch had actually re-attached itself to the main stem. (At one point early on, I also broke the whole top cola off, which I quickly prepared as a clone.........It survived also.) I've learned to be more careful.
