Yeah like brownbear had said it may take awhile to get the soil to the proper ph. I overwater when that happens - water to drain - a lot. Hope it helps?

I figured now would be an appropriate time for another entry considering I just fixed the PH problem! I had been adjusting the water I use by about 1/2 a teaspoon of vinegar per gallon of water to bring it down from an 8 to about a 6.5-7. However, this wasn't enough and the problem kept happening (leaves getting orange and brown spots/curling). So, following Kpac and Brown Bear Clan's advice, I decided to flush out the pots with about 9 gallons of PH adjusted water each. The plants have been happy as pigs in shit ever since and they're growing faster than ever.

I also added a few bottles which you might find interesting. What they contain is 1 cup sugar, 1 liter water, and about a tablespoon of yeast. Each of these bottles has a hole in it's cap where I've inserted aquarium tubing and hot glued around the edges to ensure nothing leaks out due to the back-pressure. Why, you may ask? Yeast, a microscopic organism, loves to eat sugar. When it does this, it produces a gassy fizz, the same thing that makes bread rise. This fizz is Carbon Dioxide, which produces pressure and travels down the airlines directly into my plants. Because CO2 sinks, I make sure to position the bottles above the plants and the tubes near the head of each plant. A GREAT way to get extra CO2 to your plants for under $10.

I've topped the left and right plants just so my middle one can keep up- it seems more focused on side branching. I don't think it will make much of a difference in growth pattern, considering all the ducks grow like they've been topped anyway with the most excessive automatic side branching I've ever seen. EVERY possible node for growth sprouts a long, bushy branch on it's own. They're probably about 2 feet tall each at this point in the game. Attached are some pictures of the whole setup. Enjoy! :D

Thanks man! I appreciate it. I'm gonna be flowering them here soon since Ducksfoot is notorious for having a long flowering time and yielding poorly inside. I know they're small still, but I decided I'm just using this batch for a seed run because they're such a rare breed and I want to stockpile them for my summer grow. I want to spend more time just growing bud so I gotta get these duckies ready for the summer run and make room for some sinsemilla :D

Just a quick update: my dog chewed through my camera cord so I'm not able to upload pics for a while, but I will as soon as I get a new one D:

I've started lowering the hours of light today, gonna lower it two hours a week by doing about 1/2 an hour every two days. I switched out two of the Veg T5's for the bloom version and I'll go with four bloom bulbs when I get the light cycle down to 12/12. Unfortunately, I've found that vinegar does not do so well for the PH issue. I was lowering the tap water from an 8 down to a 6.5-7 with a little bit of distilled vinegar, but I always found the soil PH would shoot back up after a few days. I think vinegar dissipates somehow, so I went to the local hydro shop and got some solution to adjust the water I'm using. I've flushed each of my plants which are in 3 gallon pots (A second time) with nine gallons of PH adjusted water each at about 6.5. I'm seeing a combination of Iron, Nitrogen, and Manganese deficiency which (according to Ed Rosenthal) is likely a result of a PH imbalance. The symptoms cleared up last time I did this, so hopefully this chemical from the grow shop is a more permanent fix.

Either way, the plants are all looking roughly healthy with one showing very little symptoms and all about 3 feet tall and bushy. It should take 3 weeks to reach 12/12 light cycle and at least another 4 until these puppies are finished. Wish me luck! Pictures coming soon

Nice! I've also noticed that the vinegar doesn't seem to hold real well. My next go round I'm gonna get some PH down like you did. Can't wait to see some new pics! =)
