I think the current unidimensional model of intelligence (measured by a scalar!) is not very useful..
Btw I requested a link and not an unreferenced definition.

The thing that caught my eye was the diff. between acquiring and displaying knowledge. Does one have to demonstrate intelligence in order to possess it? Also, don't your definitions belatedly bring in the crucial element of applying knowledge (e.g. in the solution of complex problems) that the unadorned acquisition/display definition ignores?

Perhaps this will underline what i found counterintuitive.

LMAO!! When I first started working in the D I had to have someone around to translate what the homies were saying. Sometimes the whole shop would be at the order desk trying to figure it out. You can only imagine how they ordered Pine Nuts.

I think in the context of UncleBucks post, the better question would be, does one have to acquire knowledge and display it, in order to be considered intelligent.

To be honest I don't know if she will be up for election or not because I haven't looked it up..But if she is reelected I am sure the Dems will back her up and then they could talk about football instead of politics and everything will be just warm and fuzzy..

I don't eat pills but I smoke really good pot so I am good...
