Dual PC Stealth Grow -- Aurora Indica & Mazar x Afgan

Thanks again for the quick replies, everyone. Thanks for helping me sex this little guy. I have pulled him out of the ground with a bit of grief. Honestly, I didn't know I would be able to sex them this early. He had been developing some 'balls' right before I left for my vacation. So I could have technically 'pulled' him about two weeks ago. Is it safe to say you can sex them at roughly 4 weeks?

As for what I am going to do with him just yet I don't know. I think he might weigh about 2-3 grams. I don't think I really have enough to make butter, but I don't know how or where to store it. Any suggestions?

As for little AI#1, I have added another hook to her LST training. She is quite close to the ground. Is this okay? I have the pot and her *since she doesn't really stick out much* about 2-3 inches away from the light. Current heat was 90F. I also fed her tonight with a bottle of water. She might loose one more leaf at the bottom, but all other leaves are an amazing dark lush green.

All I got for now guys. Keep me posted on any suggestions about the male. Also, does anyone know about my feeding schedule?

I put males in a windowsill and keep the pollen. Easy method, once there, is to wait 'till it opens a bit, put a film canister under it and tap gently. You can apply spunk GENTLY with a q-tip to individual buds after that, if you're looking to breed.

I'm hoping to breed something of my own soon, so I've been trying to figure out how to do it safely. I only decided to do that after I found a single seed on my NYC Diesel and ate it. The father was an Auto White Russian. Interesting mixture there.. Auto White Diesel. The thought makes my mouth water, truly.

LT, thanks for that suggestion. When I get another little boy I will probably do something like that. How long do you have to keep them on the window? Is it possible to gently open these sacks myself? Oh and by the way they were not feminized, just reggie seeds. I recieved them from marijuanaseeds.nl Next time, though, I will be ordering feminized seeds.

Also, just remembered that when I was LSTing AI#2 that two of the bottom sacks might have opened. They revealed a pinkish purple flower. They were really small, and dropped off while I was LSTing. Do you think this will pose a problem?

Just bin it and move on. Males are a 3 week setback in a perpetual, so not something to get sentimental about.

Hey Xander

I just read through the thread again to find out what nutes you are using but it looks like they are just generic bloom nutes at 3-8-8. It's hard to guide you on their use, so go off what it says on the pack. Just introduce them slowly and back off if you see any problems. Some nutes suggest using plain water every 2nd time and you should observe this precaution if it is written on your nutes.

How's your seeding programme going ER?
Got a batch of auto white russians comin' along now. Likely will have auto white kush, as well: Auto White Russian x Auto Hindu Kush.

The AWR male was the tallest male of 3 (out of 4 seeds that germ'd!) and the AHK is unreal big. In fact, it actually puts my Diesel to shame. So, I should have some large genes there. Just praying the Kush is preg'd!

Hey everyone!

Got some pics, good news, bad news and probably everything in between for you all tonight. As for most recent, I am still having problems controlling my heat. As I further researched it, I started to notice that it has been effecting my grow. I have decided to try some plexi glass and then larger fans if need be. As for the light containment, I have been quite busy in other aspects of life and still haven't touched that subject.

Current Temp: 88@Tops
Current Humidity: 56% *watered tonight*

AI#1: Looking amazing! After the second feeding she starting and paying more attention to the heat she blossomed! She is currently being held down by three hooks and is a quarter around the pot. Hoping to see some bud pop out soon. Since she survived the 3-4 week test is it guaranteed she is a girl? She has no signs of any balls, but no 'flowers' yet either. Just wondering because I might have to start thinking of my first girl name :)

MZ#1: Sprouted beautifully, has grown it's first set of small fan leaves. Then...tonight when it was time for their feeding I had MZ#1 leaned up against AI#1 and as I took AI#1 out MZ#1 fell out of the case. Utterly, uprooting her exposing everything. I re potted her and fed her well, but there is a slim chance it'll survive *i think*.

AI#3: Sprouted and is just a day or two behind MZ#1. Has small set of first fan leaves and is roughly 1.5in tall.

--------------

Pics:

All pics are of AI#1 and how I am LSTing her. I think I might have her too close to the ground. Not to for sure, but even some of the fan leaves are touching/laying on the ground.

--------------

Once I get my plexi glass installed I am going to get the 2nd unit up and running. I think I have given up on a 'set' perpetual for now. With the chances of getting males or duds it is really hard and *w/ males in the mix* some what impractical to run a set 15 day perpetual. My new plan is to just fill each unit up and pump out as many as I can in the shortest amount of time. Ripping out all males ASAP, and replacing with a new seed until I can get a hold of some fem seeds in a few months.

ER, nice to see to stop by and hear about your grow. They honestly do sound mouth watering. I have been thinking about my next step up when I get my house to use my servers as breeding grounds. I think they would serve that purpose very well and quickly.

V12, yes they are generic nutes, but the back says feed every three weeks. Thus far AI#1 and #2 done well with every third week another feeding. Might try every other feeding soon.

Well guys, that cuts me off tonight. Hope everyone is doing well as with their grows. Update again soon!

Urgent question guys. I was checking on my babies tonight when the lights came on and I noticed that in AI#1's pot that there was an awkward webbing in the soil. I first though it would be spider mite, however, I didn't spot any and couldn't find anything on the web about them making webbing in the soil. I was wondering if anyone knew off hand what this might be. I can say that the other two pots that are in the same case do not have this, but at the same time they do not have any nutes so I thought it might be a side effect of the nutes. Any help??

Hard to work out what you mean about awkward webbing Xander. Got a pic?
I doubt it would be related to nutes though..

Going to work on installing the plexi glass tomorrow. Temps have been back down to the high 80s since I removed the unit from the closet. I am hoping that this plexi glass will drop it even more.

AI#1: Still growing rapidly. Has deep emerald 5 finger fan leaves. Currently, has three hooks in her awaiting her fourth. Will be receiving a feeding in two days. Looks like her first 'flowers' are starting to develop. Should be in flowering within the next week.

MZ#1: Has made a one-in-a-million recovery after the uproot accident. This is the farthest I have gotten a Mazar so far, but it is a tall lime greenish color. Might be a male, but it's still a really just a guess.

AI#3: Just a day or two behind MZ#1. A bit smaller and darker in green. Looks a lot like AI#1 when she was smaller :) Got some good hopes for this little lady.

*I have moved all of them down about an inch. Haven't seem just growth from any of them in the last two days. Do you guys think I might have them a bit to close to the lights?*

**Also, AI#1 still has her weird 'spider web' in her soil. I still have not seen any spots on leaves or small bugs. It is not like a normal spider, but can't see any negative effects yet. I have some pictures, but it is a bit hard to see.**

PICS:
1-2: Up close of AI#1's soil and weird 'spider-web'. *web on the left side, normal soil on the right*
3: AI#1 after her little growth spert *you can even see the web on the left in this pic*
4: MZ#1 Just over a week old.
5: AI#3 Just over a week old.

SATU, nice avatar ;). All the set-up information is in the first few pages of my journal. Although, I do not suggest the place I got my server cases from. Other than that I got half the supplies online and other half at a local hardware store. Just take it step by step and write down all data from experiments (you'll need to test heat, humidity, etc) that will help out a lot. Good luck and send a link to your journal if you do decide to set one up. They are easier than you would think to set up, but environmental control is a war more than a battle. Either way check out some of my links in my signature and others posting in my journal for more pc growing information.

Good to see the plants are coming along fine.
Sorry for my failing eyes but I still can't quite make out what it is. I'm thinking it may be a little bit of fungus or mold which can happen if the top layer of soil doesn't dry out quickly enough.
If that's what it is then try a little less water and also you can scarify the soil to help. To scarify just get a cocktail stick and make small holes about an inch deep all around the top of the soil. That just increases the surface area and helps to dry the top out more quickly.
You should also scrape off the very top layer of soil to remove any possible threats.

Hey guys after checking last night I noticed that it was a fungi. I am going to try to scarify the soil and let it dry a bit longer in between feedings. Wish me luck!!

Hey Xander
Took a whopping cola out last time. It's just finishing off curing now but it looks and smells fabulous :)
Got some changes going on though and I'm trying out a system of taking cuttings from other plants in the case so we only need a single fem seed to keep the perpetual going on indefinitely.
It's looking promising so far, so I may start up a thread about it.
