Hey man, these are some old pics of my jars, i'll snap some more when i get home tomorrow..
My jar is completely cultivated now - just going to give it a few more days so im 100% and then i'll birth it.
This is my 1st time with them so is it possible to leave them in the jars too long??

I did 6 jars in all, only 2 started growing mycellium, the rest sat idle then grew an array of nasties :(
One of the good jars went funky on me.. So im left with 1 good 1.
I had two spore syringes made from different prints (given to me by a friend so i couldnt b picky).
The 1st one did 4 jars (went rotten) & the 2nd one did the last 2 (went well).. There is still a bit more mix in the 2nd syringe, so i can make a few more jars :-) I really want to learn more & do grain to grain transfers..
The jar has taken Sooo friggin long to get ready cos we've had 32 Degree Celcius Days & above in my parts..
Where abouts are you from Mate?

I don't see pics,:-( and cakes will pin in jars so if they are viable and hydrated they would be all good :eyesmoke:

Do you mean "colonized"? I'm sure you do. My pics are about 7 days after birth with dunk (12 hr) and roll. Pins formed 2 days ago.

Ok I see the pics now, read the last few pages of this thread and you will see the time frame, I birthed my cake after it showed complete colonization for a week. Thanks for your post I am in northeast USA :hump:

Havent made it yet.. To be honest i never thought i'd make it this far, lol.
I've got the Roadkill Tek, so i'll have to knock one up this weekend!

I put about 8 quarts of perlite in a tub and threw in some distilled h2o then drilled 4 holes along the top of the perlite on the long sides of the bin, and 3 on the end sides, but I am here to fan it, but it is working great!
