Hey guys , been growing for a couple of years in soil , putting together my first hydro system , going for drain to waste with coco , just got a few questions
1.is a 500L per hour pump strong enough? Or should I get a bigger one ?
2. What size hoses should I run out to my plants? I was thinking 8mm would be a good place to start?
3. Can anyone recommend a good timer that I can adjust the seconds so I can fine tune the amount of water the plants get , especially if it's available on eBay , that would make it a lot easier for me to by.

Il be running about 6 plant btw in 9L pots
cheers for the replies in advance

A 500lph pump should work just fine. Just think what would happen if you were to pour that much onto your plants in an hour! Just be aware that pumps lose effectiveness in relation to how far the water is to be pumped vertically. It's a matter of how long the pump needs to operate to feed the plants the perfect amount. I recommend the CAP Art-Dne cycle timer. The on time can be set from 1 second up to and hour. The off time is anything from 1 minute to 8 hours. It's a great timer for dialing in the ideal feeding regime. I have purchased a few of them on eBay.

I agree looks dope. I always preferred recycling timers because nothing is as easy and quick as a turn of a knob
for setting but this looks pretty easy and cheap. I am ordering one of the ct1 recycling timers my only
concern is it doesn't stick on or melt I am going to run 14.6 amps through it and it is a Chinese model.. Will see if it holds up.

Thanks for the tip Lakeside

That mist king looks like it would be the one. Does everything my 150$ + timers do for 30 bucks. Anyone ever test one?

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes I've been using it on my main flower room. It programs just like any other 8 on/off timer but goes down to seconds. Has a button that switches from on->auto->off->auto->on->etc...

I like it much more than a cycle timer because it allows me to water longer right when lights turn on, and then smaller feedings throughout the day. It also gives you the ability to water randomly during lights out, where a cycle timer you would just have to use regular intervals.

I have the CT-1 I mentioned above as well, and while it works perfectly fine. (I'm running only like 2 amps through it.) I just simply prefer the customization that comes with the mistking timer.
