It is my understanding from the staff we have not had any certs denied. All previous certs are, of course, valid and supported. My main concern is for the pain and suboxone patients. All the patients are standing by us, we are working through legal channels to clear this up, and hope to be back up to capacity again in a couple of weeks at most.

What exactly is the accusation used to justify this suspension of your licence Dr. Bob? Is it related to that raid up in Marquette back in May?

Again, I can't really discuss it. But I will tell you the attorney dealing with it has never seen anything like it in the 10+ years he has been doing this. I will ask you to consider the fact that the AG just announced a huge crackdown on pain clinics and recall his feelings on medical marijuana. I work with both. I've always had a target on me but by keeping between the lines on the law and practicing good medicine I've considered myself safe. Apparently not if they are dedicated enough and bring in enough resources. We will win in the end. I just hope the patients and practice can survive until we do.

No, it had nothing to do with certifications and our procedures are correct. There were 4 counts. 2 can be immediately disproven (paperwork issues) and the other two question a judgement call on my part. I am comfortable with my decisions based on over 30 years in medicine, I feel a jury would agree. But we are dealing with folks that have an agenda, so we can only do the best we can do to support my decisions. Our hearing has been scheduled for Jan 19th in Lansing.

One thing that may be confusing you is that there are VERY specific requirements for a bonafide relationship in certs, they must be followed by the doctor or the patient can lose his protection. In the majority of medical relationships the doctor's judgement can be questioned in court or before the board. As long as the doctor can justify the decision he made, it ends. But until they have a chance to do that, it is open. We got a hearing date for Jan 19th. I'll have my chance and see how it turns out. I am confident I made a good decision and that I can back it.

It should be added that a specific definition of bonafide was added to the MMMA because we were getting far too many signature mills for cash going outside the intent of the MMMA. The result was that the program was losing respect and marijuana was not being used as a medical substance. We have enough problems in medical marijuana, we shouldn't have to deal with an 80 year old doc signing 600 certs in a weekend at a convention. That just looks bad.

I would like to add a comment, Maybe these Idiots that think Dr. Bob is doing something Wrong should have went to Medical School, But Guess what They Didn't and have no Right to keep Patients From Getting the Help they need in Michigan, It is Ridiculous they can throw there weight around when they have not went to School to be a Doctor, Maybe All the Doctors in Michigan should become Lawyers LMAO, this is a joke. for someone that helps People that no one else will because of there Morals and bullshit thoughts is just a freaking joke. Dr. Bob does the right things, Its a Patients Responsibility to tell the Doctor what is wrong and the Doctors to figure out what is causing the pain and kind of Treatment they need, I was In a Rollover accident a Bad one too almost Died I had 5 discs in my back smashed my head in pretty bad in 09. I have went to Therapy for 6 months 3 to 4 times a week, It helped some but my pain is still at a 9 most days my hands don't move very well anymore. and when I tried to get help I was turned away like some Drug addict seeking drugs even though you could see my injuries on film (xrays) So I went to another Doctor and got my MMJ Card in 2010 and have had it ever since, my pain is still pretty high although the MMJ helps, my hands still don't work proper and my Spine will never be the same, I tried to see Dr. Bob. but unfortunately he wasn't taking new Patients,
I got sick and tired of trying new doctors in this town only to be told I could not get any Pain Medicine while I had MMj in my blood , it wasn't like I need a bunch of Pills to help me out I just needed some Break through pain medicine which I will always be in pain and when I have to do my daily duties I live in a lot of pain because of this problem with out Health care Physicians in this town, I myself would say we need more doctors like Dr. Bob He is a Doctor that cares for his Patients and we are lacking that in many towns in the U.S, right now because doctors are afraid that Some Political moron that has no medical background is going to take you down and ruin your life

And again, get this out there and use it. B*B argued it is useless, and the Supreme Court backhanded him and the COA. He was making a lot of money as an expert witness, which this information helps to avoid. ALL persons, to include dispensary employees, who sell to ANY qualified patient should have them on file in all instances, with registration or not. Notary commissions are cheap and easy to come by through the Secretary of State, and any dispensary should have more than one on staff to execute the agreement with every patient another employee, who at that point qualifies as a caregiver, does business with.

all marijuana is medical, unless you are one of the fools who says marijuana has no medical benefit.

alcohol has medical uses as well as recreational use. marijuana also has recreational and medical uses. marijuana is legal for medical use in this state for certain conditions. just the way it is.

I have known Dr. Bob as a Patient and as a Friend for over 7 years and have seen the Compassion he has provided with his patients on several occasions . He's Not Just about the Money . Is he Perfect Hell , No who of us is ? . I Still consider him a Friend and then a Dr. , He's a Realist that has to make an income covering his Clinic's expenses let alone his Educational expenses and now Legal expenses . So Let's Not start a collection for Tar , Feathers and a new rope too hang him till and If When The Fat Lady Sings .
