That plant is really really small for almost a month and a half old! I have a bubblegum and a White Widow X Afghan kush that are 3 weeks older than yours and they are 3.5' tall and about 3.5' in diameter! they were about 4X the size of yours at 30days! in fact i had to trim them back to fit in the space i had

My first thought was not enough light intesity. I wrote that about getting a 150w hps lamp for 99 bucks but then I edited it because it looked like you had a hood from the way the light looked in the pics so I erased what I said. Now that I know what your using for a lamp then def get a 150w hps for that 1 plant.

You can grow a monster with a 600 an pull several oz off on plant if grown right. You do need proper ventilation however. A 190cfm fan would be the minimum.

ive fitted the new light and temps are between 100 - 130 f and theirs nothing i can do about ive got the door wide open which it cant be, ive got the window wide open which it cant be. i live in a rented flat so its not like i can drill holes for venting the air out im just really goosed out side closet its really cold. i never realized how hot a 600w hps can get. i dunno if i should just install that other light back in and do some LST to try and make the most of it. would that even do anything ?

With a 600 HID uncooled, you don't want that thing any closer than 12 inches from your plant -- prolly closer to 18 inches. HID lamps get really hot, and you will fry the little one in no time.
if you can hold your hand under the light with out discomfort then your plants will be ok with the light height.

Yeap but what about the high temperatures? What happens if your grow room temp is over 90F but nonetheless the "hand over the canopy" test isn't too hot?Would that affect or stress the plants? That's the question!

True to a point, but you will have to hold it there for like five minutes. You can't just test the temp for a few seconds and think it's ok.

Exactly. Over 90 degrees and your growth is slowing to a crawl. Over 100 and growth has stopped. You want your temps below 80.

600's do get HOT! When I upgraded from 400 to 600 temps went up about 8 degrees, so I had to cool my hood which brought them back down.

Think about selling the 600 for a 400 dimmable or a 250.
