I feel it don! Our shit just got so good everyone wanted us to process it for them so demand has gone up A LOT the past few months. Just ordered a chamber the other day and it should be here soon!

Cant wait to be pullin fat muffins and lettin em fall on themselves instead of playin with the valve half open until most of the muffin is gone.
 
Sorry for the delay everyone. Finally got internet back the other day so figured id post the rough numbers. I dont have em in front of me but the 2 nice yielders got around 2 1/2 oz per plant while the less yielding of the 2 got barely 1 1/2 oz per plant.

So im pretty sure which ones im gonna keep. The 2 higher yielders were also the frostiest and hardest hitting of the 4 phenos.

So far ive only found 1 seed and im gettin down the the last few grams. I even asked friends who i gave some to to tell me if they found a seed so i can have an "official count"

So far im amped with the results of these LEDs. 1/2 the heat of my 600w hps possibly less yet i still get similar results.


Ive started my next round already and theyre flowerin away as we speak. Been busy without the internet so ive been doin work. I have 9 plants in my 4x4 right now and hopefully will be getting another panel or 2 because with this many plants towards the edges it gets a little dark. Very similar to the fall off pattern of a 600w hps. A 1000w hps would have this tent on point.

But in reality i could probably toss 1000w of LEDs in here and it wouldnt even be as hot as a 600w hps.

That plan is coming to action soon!!! Hopefully have 2 skinnier side panels to put in at an angle to help light the edges.

Im gettin the same output that id get from my 600w hps off the just over 600w of leds ive got goin.

Its just annoying because in the 4x4 with 600w both led and hps the light falls off towards the edges. Everyones always said 1000w for a 4x4 but i couldnt handle the heat of a 1000w hps. Well didnt want to handle the heat of a 1000w hps so i just stuck with the 600 and accepted the outer edges would need to be rotated and adjusted.

But if i could get another 305w panel or 2 151w panels id have a tad over 900w and every inch of this place covered with less heat than my old 600w hps.
 
so is there no 1kw hps LED equivalent at the moment? if you could get one and have better output than a single 600hps and not have to rotate your golden!
 
Yeah just more watts! Ive never trusted the "equivalent" thing. If im runnin 600w hps theres no way im runnin any less than 600w of LEDs. They stack up watt for watt imho except LEDs are 10x cooler than hps/mh. I just need a little more coverage since mine dont have lenses to throw the light different distances.

Black dog has some really good stuff. I like mine because they dont have lenses so i can get them pretty close to the tops without burning.

So if you want to replace a 600-1000w hps system. Start with 600-1000w of LEDs. Area 51 makes good ones with lenses, as well as black dog. I use grow evolution LEDs which i really like. Good price good quality. Not tip top of the line cree but 1 tier below them and for the price its pretty damn good.
 
so was looking at a 900w LED panel, the thing says you have to keep it 2.5-3ft above the plants or you'll bleach them !?!? £639.99 too, ouch....

the 600w one says it's cover 12 sq ft no prob and height restrictions lol. still £439.99 though. I remember looking into the m a good time back thinking i'll wait til they come down in a year or two but they don't seem to have if anything got more expensive!?!
 
i just put two kessil h350s in an will be looking for one more and that will give me 270 watts over 11.28 sq ft. i am wanting this room to supply my smoke and pack the 600 vert room with my high yielding cuts. you ever get your cp cut?
 
Unfortunately no didnt get a CP cut yet. Still workin on some things.

As for LEDs dont believe anything they say. Except the 2-3 foot height. Thats true with LEDs with lenses in them.

If youre trying to replace a 600w hps use 600w of LEDs. If your 600w was in a 4x4 but your new 600w LED claims to cover more.... dont believe it! haha.

They do get very expensive though DON. But on a serious note i havent put in my AC this year yet and temps are pretty constant 70f outside. I usually put it in in early april sometimes even march.

So theres money to be saved on cooling costs. If i had a fan controller id slow down my carbon filter as well without creating anymore heat.

So just imagine a 10Kw grow. You could probably run a single in room AC unit and cool the whole place to a stable temp. Instead of gettin a mini split or other dedicated large AC unit.

Add to that that i wont have to change any bulbs almost ever and if any were to prematurely break its under waranty and is as easy as swappin out a speaker. Disconnect 2 wired, unscrew old LED, screw in new LED, connect 2 wires.

Im in it for the long haul. Id really like to experiment with a combination of either HPS and LED or LEDs without lenses and LEDs with lenses.

Put the lens ones at an angle on the sides and middle a little higher up and then have the non lens LEDs real close like t5s

A man can dream. haha.
 
And DR, those kessils should work well! Ive never used em but always seent em. Mo got some recently and is fuckin with em.
 
of course always got fresh air comin in! haha and yeah i didnt think itd be that big of a difference. Figured the LEDs would have about 75% of the heat a 600w would. But seriously i havent done any tests but its well below 50%. Somewhere around 25-35% of the heat and that might still be an over statement.
 
they dropped the temps 10 degrees for the cfls i had in the cab before. i agree with you on wattage you have to mach what you had before, or something close
 
Yeah theres definitely some wattage/par conversion no doubt but since penetration seems to be the only real thing thats lacking the more watts the better IMHO.

Id never be able to run a 1000w in the tent/room that im workin in. Especially with a 400w cmh next to it for the veg. Shit would have gotten way to hot and id be running my AC 9/12 months. Where i live 8/12 months are pretty cold haha. so itd look funny if it was like 50f out and i had an AC runnin. But with the LEDs i plan to upgrad to a 2kw soon. Hopefully by fallish time so i wont even have to AC it all winter! Im not guaranteeing i wont but im over 75% sure the cold outside air would be all id need to cool down 2kw of these LEDs.

I'll drop a sliver of my led love in here. I'm cloning and vegging with a 100 watt led from CAP. it covers 4 ft one way easily and from 2-3ft away. I'm sure it could do 4ft both ways if I had the room to hang it.

Because of the lower temps the plants will obviously go through water slower so I find the smart pots work best since they do tend to dry out quicker than a plastic pot. I've yet to try to flower with one but for veg I'll take one over any other light every time!
 
I also believe and don't have testing to prove, just my gut, that plants do grow a little slower under led than with an hid light. Being that I have a completely separate area and time to spare in that dept it causes zero effects to anything I'm doing. Here's some lights on pics of my moms and clones. I was feeling too lazy to turn the light off.
