panhead ,really wasn't it better when tube and halter tops,slamming 4 gears going 170 mph wishing your ride was going as fast as you,growing in your on back yard without worrying about police helicopters over head and someone ripping you off.now pants under your ass showing some really huge assess that don't need to be seen,wearing pajamas to go shopping, sleeping with one eye open and 357 under your pillow.and just think called us hippies because we wore tie die and grew or hair long and smoked a little herb,and on on on.i loved those days,and still waiting on that wheel everyone talks about turning a circle. anyway dude thanks for taking me back ,hope u now i'm just jacking with you,peace out
Oh man do i miss the 70's , people talk about the 60's as being the best time to be alive but i had alot more fun in the 70's .
Everybody had a hifi system & massive record collection in the 70's , now its everybody listening to music via 1/1,000th of a watt I-Pod's or phones to music with huge loss ratios .
In the 70's most the top acts were highly talented musicians who mastered multiple instruments , now days music has morphed so far down hill most top acts cant play any musical instrument & playing Smoke on the Water on guitar is beyond their musical ability .
Concerts in the 70's had so much weed being smoked you'd get doob's passed to you from total strangers & cops at the concert wouldn't fuk with anybody who wasn't starting trouble , now days a cop see's you toking at a concert & you go to jail .
In the 70's you could cruise around in your car at 3 am drunk as fuk with a car load of people , all acting like fools & pass the same cop multiple times & not get pulled over , if you did get pulled over the cop would make everybody pour their beer out & then pour all our drugs on the ground & rub it in with our shoe , then tell us to not get into any trouble & drive safe & let us go , thats if the cop didn't pocket the dope before letting us go , now days if your caught with open booze or possesion of drugs your ass is getting locked up & paying as much as they can get out of you in fines .
In the 70's police were so different than the cops in the 60's & were much more easy going , the 60's softened the cop's attitude twords people partying , cop's actually went out of their way to help people & took into consideration that giving a bunch of kids out having fun multiple felonies would ruin their lives , all over just being a normal young person & having fun with alcohol & pot , now days cops think its fun to destroy a young persons life by giving them multiple felonies over a roach or an empty weed pipe .
In the 70's we could drag race our hot rods & motorcycles & the cops wouldn't fuk with us too bad until like 4 am , then they'd just pull up at the strip & turn the emergency lights on , give the siren a quick blast & allow everybody to leave peacefully , now they surround the strip with 10 cop cars , ticket everybody , search all cars & seize any car with dope in it , then run everybodys name & arrest everybody they can .
I could go on forever about how great the 70's were & being that some of you guys lived it you allready know how much better it was , right down to knowing every neighbor on your street on a 1st name basis , now nobody even talks to their neighbors .
Kids now days have alot of advantages we didn't have such as cell phones & video games but they have it much worse overall than we did , especially with police , growing up in America in the 70's was a fantastic time to be an American , the fun we had will never be allowed for the youth of America to grow into adulthood without the constant fear of ruining their lives over 1 minor possession charge .
Im gonna go to my Listening room , turn on the Tube Amps on the hifi system , click on the lava lamp & black light over my Pink Floyd picture & listen to some Deep Purple , smoke a bowl with the wife & throw memories back n forth , the 70's rocked .
One of these days after i get a new pc im gonna post a bunch of pics of my listening room/smoking lounge that i decorated with pictures & posters from the 70's , maybe even set up a few of my 70's hifi systems & snap some pics of them too , only reason i haven't done it yet is some fool allways says something stupid like its not my house or im showing off like i got pm'ed after posting pics of SOME of my hifi gear in a thread a few yrs back .
