Does it matter what pH storage brand I use?

Does it matter? I have a bottle of blue lab storage and I have a Hanna groline ph meter. I really don't want to drive and purchase a different solution if it doesn't matter.. Thank you!

a tech guy from Milwaukee instruments told me to keep mine in distilled or RO water. going on close to 10 years with same probe.

The manual in mine says the complete opposite.. It's even italicized "DO NOT USE DISTILLED OR DEIONIZED WATER FOR STORAGE PURPOSES"

I wonder if they do this just to get money off people who are clueless...

I use saline for cleaning the probe and storage

somebody said there are 2 types of probes that require different storage needs. i can only say what he told me for my brand has worked perfectly.

All I use is tap water...just never let the probe dry out.
Remember to calibrate often.

I just bought Hanna Groline ... I have a brand new bottle of Bluelab storage.. You think it will be fine Herb and Suds? I really don't want to drive 30 minutes for some solution lol....

any potassium chloride storage solution, really helps to extend the life of finicky probes

if you calibrate often the storage solution is less important. the bottles of the calibration liquids are cheaper than the storage liquid so i went that route.

i have used water when i ran out of storage solution and didn't notice anything significantly different the next time i calibrated.

if the bottle says KCl i wouldnt worry. use it.
