Does carbon Work?

My last grow stunk the house up. Wife yelled at me for it. Seen a carbon filter on ebay for around $70 with shiping. Says it's good for cabint size.
Question, do carbon filters eliminate the smell, 100% or do they just kinda work like 50%. (i dont wanta make my own), any links to proven filters.

i flower in a 2ft x 6ft area and i use carbon works fine for me i vent all the air 20 ft in the air and evac out the vent holes in my roof never smelled it outside or had leaks bring the smell in the house just make sure everything is sealed real good so all air must pass through the carbon to leave and give it time to pass through the carbon you dont want the air to go through ir to quickly or it wont absorb all of the odors

They sure do as long as u a suitable size carbon for your grow and also have a inline with fresh air as well as a out-line via extractor fan plus ducting or similar

go ahead and get it man i was thinking the same way b4 i got 1 works a dream ......

Heres the product descrition,
$80, 4 lb activate carbon, 37db noise level, eliminates skunky oder.
when fan and filter are together it has 60 trueCFM.

With the cabinet i have it will filter it in about 2.4 minutes.
Any thoughts?

If its just 1 of the standerd carbon filters from hydro/ebay u just let the fan run 24/7 throught the filter and all u smell is fresh clean air ,when u leave of an the hot skunky air starts building up again it will start 2 smell again
they are a must have for a indoor grow ..
