I'm using the fox farm schuedle http://www.foxfarmfertilizer.com/images/pdf/soilenglish2015.pdf

okay so I'm growing out of 10 gal buckets it says to put a certain amount per gal do i give each plant the whole gallon or just and little bit and if i little bit how much and what do do when flushing with sledge hammer cause people say 3x each gallon of water for flushing so that 30 gallons of water with 2 teaspoons of sledge hammer which would be a waste since I'm using the fox farm dirty dozen kit http://www.foxfarmfertilizer.com/index.php/item/dirty-dozen.html

someone please help

why do you all start with foxfarms anyways?

stop the ridiculous sledge hammer already.

read the directions closely. they say mix up the scheduled amount--I would suggest cutting that in half btw- per gallon of water.
you will mix X amount per gallon of water, not per plant aye? you could mix a hundred gallons of this mix, woul dthat mean you have to feed all hundred gallons to your plant? e

you could alternatively water a dozen little plants with the same mixed up one gallon of water, even if you dont use the whole gallon.
the fertilizer has no idea how much water your plant needs. get back in the box, think from there. stuffs easy peasy, dont over think any of it. please look into a better food source for your babes though. organic preferred

well this is my first serious grow and i want to do it right yeah but i don't understand it says feed twice a week so do i give my plant a little of the mixed nutrients each and how much, cause the way i was thinking was say if i water it with 1 gal of water one day then the next time i water i just give it a 1 gallon of the mixed nutrients and if its that way its just a waste

you should be feeding plain water in between feeding too. those directions dont know how dry or hot your conditions are, rather than see it as twice a week, see it like this..when the soil is dry to the bottom and needs water, feed a half strength mixed up dose until watered, then when its dry again, use plan water, repeat.

nothing is a waste until its running out of your bucket holes. watch the amount you water, its good to let the soil dry out a bit, I kick the buckets to see how light they are and decide then. I know one gallon of water is all my five pails need at one time. sometimes some will run out, because it wasnt dried out as much as the next. you dont need run off except to know you watered a little too much, decrease a bit next time, or wait a bit longer.

fox farm works for me just mix according to feeding chart and feed enough liquid mixture to your plants till you get a little running out the bottom of the pot. feed with plain water twice before you feed them nutrients again. just as important is to only feed/water when soil/medium is dry.. good luck happy growing

you're not wasting nutrients if they're not running out the bottom. what makes you think you're wasting them? they build up in the soil, the micro beasties eat, the mold grows, the plant thrives.

and yes, there really is no sense in growing indoors in 10 gallon pots if you
a) never grew before
b) use foxfarms in the first place(lol)

Wow...10 gal pots?....lol. First grow? First of all, what soil are you using, does the soil already have allot of nutrients in it? How long have the plants been in that soil?. How often do you water?. How big are your plants? What do the leafs on your plants look like. Are they healthy? There are a lot of questions you need to answer before you get to the how much question. Regardless; FoxFarm is very concentrated. Never start out using the amount shown on the feed chart. Always start with a reduced amount then work up from there. The smaller and younger your plants are they will need allot less nutrients. If they are young plants and your soil is nutrient rich they do not need nutrients yet. Unless you have researched how to properly use the sledgehammer do not use it. It can create more problems than you know...lol

I've grown super dank beautiful plants with ff products ....IMO the only three that are worth a damn are the big three the others are extras IMO that I never used with great results ....grow big ,big bloom, and tiger bloom .....grow big is the one to be careful with start at a lighter dose than recommended big bloom you can feed the recommended amount with no issues at all , I believe it's the only organic one of the three I'm speaking about ....tiger bloom start at half strength when the time comes to start it and work your way to suggested dose .......those are the only three I'd use personally with awesome results starting out and for several years actually .....great to learn on .....GL

Luckily I was helping in my mentors garden for a very long time before I did my own grows so I learned a lot and realized even companies with decent products also sell snake oil ....sucks you bought all that ...the three I talked about above will grow beautiful plants by themselves ....I can only speak for there soils and those three nutes I mentioned above personally

Start with the three I talked about focus on those and remember grow big is some potent shit and start light on that quarter strength of recommended and go from there ....big bloom you will need more of for sure with that many plants in that size pot ,and you can feed it at suggested amounts it won't hurt anything even at heavy recommended feeding ........tiger bloom start at half strength and work your way up from there ...just look into the big three and you'll see more about it if I'm not making sense to you GL happy growing
