Does anyone have experience with Spider Farmer LED units?

And upon re reading this thread. I just realized that you do not even have a single harvest under your belt using these lights. So why are you such an asshole when defending them? Is it just your personality to be abrassive? You have no idea if i have grown before and how big my grows were yet you throw insults around like a monkey throwing shit. I am considering buying some of the very lights you seem to defend like they are your own family or God. My space is akin to 20x20. I have never grown on that scale, hence why I ask questions before I spend money. I think maybe we could all do better by being less insulting to one another and talking like adults instead of jabbing at one another. It adds nothing.
I've been waiting for a meaningful contribution from you or even something mildly entertaining and you just keep shooting blanks. You are now ignored. Have a good night, and I hope you do well with your grow room design.

Man these Led threads always end the same. I saw one the other day that turned into someone being called racist and now Wal Mart is in the mix lol.

I remember the simple days when we would argue which HID bulb was better.
I do my best to keep the focus on the components and hardware. The more confused someone is the angrier they become as they attempt to figure it all out. I worked an automotive parts counter for many years. The dumber the customer the angrier they got at the counter.

When all else fails claim racism. That really is funny though.

My spider farmer knock offs are kicking ass maxisun pb4000. I haven't flowered with them yet though. My lowest diode is 3500k so I'm kinda worried im gonna have airy buds. Hope not though.

Love your Mark Twain quote. Good to hear some positive feedback on the maxisun pb4000. Keep the light as close as you can without burning the tops. You should get some resinous flowers when it's all said and done. Post some pics if you get a chance.

Justintime2grow on youtube reviewed that light and it seems decent for the price. I would pay more for the meanwell driver and Samsung diodes but I know sometimes the budget is tight.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Meijiu lights on Alibaba. I checked out the specs and they look impressive. 1000W actual power draw. Mean-well drivers and Samsung LM301b top bin chips. The 1 year warranty on the light is not confidence inspiring considering the total cost of the unit with shipping clocks in at $905.32. 5 years warranty on the driver which is solid. Most manufacturer's warranty the item they sell for slightly less than the expected life of the unit. That indicates Meijiu expects their units to last a little over a year. I would avoid a unit that expensive with a 1 year warranty personally. It's a shame, because the specs are pretty dam sexy.

Here's a link to what I looked at for Meijiu with 1 year warranty on the light and 5 years on the drivers.
https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/MEIJIU-1000watt-latest-Octopus-MAJO-high_62235816257.html?spm=a2700.7724857.normalList.47.20d33060t1zXT

I also read up on King brand LED units.
https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Full-Spectrum-Led-King-Led-Hydroponic_1600073852520.html?spm=a2700.7724857.normalList.23.112970e3MHL5g4&s=p
3 Year warranty for 660 actual watts $521.34. I'm unfamiliar with the chips the King unit is using. I will have to do some reading and report back. Top-bin SMD3030 led chip and no indication listed on driver. If they aren't advertising mean-well then it is more than likely a no name cheap driver. I would most likely avoid both of those units. The 1 year warranty on the Meijiu light is a red flag. Sure the drivers are warrantied for 5 years, but they're mean-well branded and will most likely survive well past 5 years. The King brand I'm undecided on. I don't know which drivers they use and I am unfamiliar with the chips they use. The 3 year warranty does make me feel better as a consumer, but no name drivers don't instill confidence.

I would sure love to hear from somebody that has the Meijiu unit. Those specs are beautiful. Warranty not so much.

Yea I got them for $330. Ill make them my veg lights at some point. But for the price I'm not complaining. The growth is very impressive.

I didnt take the time to read through all of these comments because I saw some toxic behavior. Im going to add a comment and thats all lol.

I bought the Spider Farmer SF-2000 about 4 months ago. Light worked great and stayed decently cool. Only problem I had is that the light would randomly flicker and I have no idea why. I moved it to different outlets, checked with a meter, did everything I could and had no idea why. It would flicker for about 30 minutes every few seconds or so and then stop. Maybe start back up again later but other then that the light was fantastic. Would highly recommend for the price.

Maybe its a loose connection with the wiring. I would send it back for repair or replacement since its only been 4 months.

Yah I already sent it back and they replaced it. This new one is working fine now. That’s the only reason I gave it a good recommendation. Service was excellent with them

That's good to hear since I am buying 2 2000's soon. I haven't heard anything bad about the customer service or light yet so I'll give them my money.

I have heard spider farmer has excellent customer service. It's great to hear some one on RIU verify that. Customer service after the sale is as important as the product itself.

In a weird twist of fate the merchant on Alibaba that I bought my light from has already custom manufactured and shipped the unit which should arrive in 5-7 days. Amazon has not shipped the spider farmer unit scheduled for delivery today. I don't want to assume anything, but I'm beginning to think they took more orders than they had units available to ship. It was fulfilled by Amazon and stocked in their warehouse when I ordered it. If I don't receive it today I'll reach out to customer service. I very well may receive my order from China before I receive my order from an Amazon warehouse in America. I never saw that one coming.

So far I'm quite impressed with the customer service from the Alibaba merchant. He has been very responsive and shipped the light within 3 days of receiving the order via express shipping. Let's see if the quality of the light matches the service. If Amazon ever decides to ship the spider farmer unit I look forward to comparison reviewing both lights.

Those look like some very happy ladies!

Have you noticed the 2000 operates at 200 watts, and the 4000 operates at 450 watts? I'm not sure if it's an error in the specs listed or if that information is accurate, but it would appear if the specs are accurate that the 4000 is putting out more watts per diode. It's not a huge variance, but I couldn't help but notice it. Every watt of flower power counts. I just don't understand why spider farmer would push the diodes harder in the 4000 than the 2000. I ordered the SF-4000 so it's not a concern for me, but if you are considering ordering two SF-2000's you may want to consider that.

I actually thought they were 220 each but i think that was the Alibaba 2000. I'm not too concerned though since 400 watts led and 630 cmh should be plenty for a 5x5.

I've seen them from time to time, but have no experience with them. That sounds like a sweet setup for a 5x5. If you don't mind me picking your brain a bit what are your temps like in there with the LED and CMH lights together? I suspect that's a cool running operation :)

Sorry, I just noticed your last post you are considering them for your next upgrade. My caffeine is still kicking in. Brain fog.

Well I am running a smaller version of that setup right now with 1 315 cmh and the alibaba sf1000. I have 4 autos taking up about 3x3 of the tent and temps stay right about 80.

My house stays really hot and even Ireland is warm for a few months out of the year haha. By the time I am running all 4 lights together the weather will be a lot cooler so I should be able to maintain the same temps with a lot more light.
