Does anyone have any advice on how to yield 4 pounds off of 3000 watts?

I grew in the past, it has been 4 years and my best yield was 3 pounds using 3 1000 watt hps lights and general hydroponics 3 part series with Rock nutrients resinator. I topped the 12 plants but didnt train them, I defoliated only during flowering. I let them veg about 2 months in dwc buckets until the were about 6 feet tall from root to top. I want to be better this time. Thats the fun of it, trying to do better than the last time. Is there any advice on how to achieve 4 pounds from 3000 watts. What was your setup, training method, and nutrient line I really want to know if anyone yielded more than a pound off of a 1000 or 600 watt light. Any advice is greatly appreciated, as im still learning.

You might take a look at my journal. You may find a few ideas there. With the right strain and setup it's possible to achieve a 1+ gram per watt level.

This is the way im setting up my upstairs, moving everything from the basement.....I never got a chance to grow when I set it up. 6 pounds is about a gram a watt, I will definetly need luck on my side....Im,a try a scrog this time and see if I can pull that gram a watt. If a grower is not hitting the gram per watt level there is room for improvement.

One common noob mistake is harvesting too early. All the weight and resin production is in the last few weeks. Let it go as long as you can without your trichomes going too much amber.

Even without supplemental co2, with a really good strain, proper environment and hydro dialed in point on one can reach a gram per watt for sure.

I think I harvested too early too. about a week
