My best tip is to take the top off when the plant reaches about 3'.
No further training required. You might need netting and supports though

That is one stretchy plant.....
It is one stretchy strain (clone only) , triples in size in flower & yields retarded , starting flowering some indoors after planting season for me is finished & I'll Be hitting some of her branches with some Fem GG#4 pollen along with several others

I also made ALL the plants I'm Taking Clones From Stretch some So I get More Clones off Em & Can get Em Topped One Last Time Before they go Into Their Giant Holes I'm Putting them into Outdoors This Weekend !!!

Gonna start a thread about cloning whole branches in Soil in Cups :-D

I was using tap water for a bit and then started using RO water. Rain has been very infrquent so far. I started adding calmag to the water to try and stop the browning. Looks like a mag deficiency i think?

I do have dolomite lime in these little pellets that i can grind up and top dress the soil with but is there something else I should do with it? The new growth is looking better.

I am not sure if it is the ocean forest or the lack of calcium or magnesium that is causing the browning. Someone will know. The water is about PH 6.5 without additives.

20180612_181755.jpg 20180612_181804.jpg Wow the plants are resilient. I will say it is the silica. They are taking the bending and thriving. I top and fim as required and will bend it around first and then make it take up the whole 30 inch pot. :D

My neighbor has a higher deck. He said wow your peppers and tomatoes are doing great but the ganja is crazy. I was out coat hangering :D

@gwheels, You can save height a little by going with kiddie pools. They are low to the ground. Also five bucks when bought in the off season at Wally World.

I am just goofing around with them really. They are 25 gallon pots and the veg is going bonkers and we have until mid August before flower starts. They will be the biggest i ever grew in a pot if I dont kill them :D

I grow 95% of my herb in the ground. But I love the kiddie pools for the garden. They hold 45-50 gallons of soil mix. I have found 4-5 tomatoes is the sweet spot.

There's 2 very good reasons to use smaller 7.5 - 10 gal pots to grow smaller 5' plants - Keeps them under fence-height with nosy neighbors, AND allows a single smoker family to grow 3 different strains without spending DAYS manicuring buds that will just get old and eventually thrown away. Besides saving hours of trimming, you're saving water, fertilizer, and making it easier to keep the plants pest free.

First time grower here. I'm doing a side by side as well outdoors. One was topped early in the flowering stage the other is running wild. The topped plant is doing incredible (lush and dark green, thick buds, crystals, etc) and hovering around 4ft x 4ft while the other is doing well 6ft x 5ft however the buds are no where near as dense, no crystals and its lacking the dark green hue. Ive attributed this to the fact that its focusing on growth rather than buds being all of the condions are the same except that it hasnt been topped . Im thinking once the sun moves from 12 -12 the un-topped plants buds will start thickening up so if thats accurate than thus far it would appear that the topped plant will produce thicker lusher buds while the non-topped will produce sufficient buds(I just cant see them catching up with the size of the others) yet in greater quantity.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I'm amazed by this plant everyday.
When i tip them (only once)and bending every single lateral horizontally i get around 80 plus tops by the end of 3 months then let them come up using string to position them and tying down the top if required.thet are about 140 cms tall..View attachment 4153672
