Homeless..pretending to be 99%...right. Lots of those homeless 1%ers lying about.
It's funny that you say that. My friends and I were joking, just about an hour ago when we were smoking, about a doctor who is homeless for the tax breaks. We thought about making a sitcom about it.

Glen Martin D.S. Or something like that. They did that in claymation, but not just for the tax breaks.

I think the whole occupy protests are hilariously amusing....... I dont think that because of the state of Americas economy or political motives, I think that because America seems to think that they are #1 with everything, and holy shit everything is going to go to hell if America isnt #1. Meanwhile, in China, Chinese government continues to build *EMPTY* cities with housing, shopping malls, etc., and they stay empty to make China look like they are growing by building. Meanwhile in Eurpoe, they might have to pay a little more for American currency if their economy continues to do the exact same thing Americas did a few years ago. They are following in the same footsteps.

If its Occupy Wall Street, it should be Occupy Earth. Only in America would they make the global economy all about them and not sending jobs overseas.

The world needs to start thinking like a ONE WORLD community, a PLANETARY movement where we all have the same rights and laws where it isnt about creating wealth but creating knowledge. Of course, we know the chances of that happening.................. Its stereotypical "not in my lifetime, so who cares" attitude............. :)

Bunch of stinky dirty hippies also.
And those stupid unemployed people, out there with those ridiculous crazy people that don't have asylums to live in any more.

There are a million groups of people in the street we could talk shit about, but the fact is they are there, and they are standing together...

It doesn't matter WHO they are :)

Interesting........

So, do you think we should have a "One World Government" that makes all the laws for every single place on the planet, that polices and oversees everything, that makes the rules regarding business, that collects taxes, that builds roads, fire protection, etc., etc., etc.? The world is such a complex place these days and it seems as though our economies and governments have grown beyond the control of the people. How powerful would a single, central governing body be? Just something to think about.:blsmoke:

We already somewhat do, think of the United Nations having global law power and each individual "country" retaining something like a states power so their local issues could be resolved. But, why would someone have a LAW for a local issue? It should either be illegal, or not. Not in certain areas or circumstances (like California for pot versus Florida for pot).

If it was a one world community, there wouldnt exactly be taxes, or wages, either. One world means everyone works for the good of the world.

You know, Star Trek? Same thing. Captain Kirk didnt get paid, it was his community contribution.

In a form like this, the 99% become the 100%.

'hippy' only carries a negative connotation inside uneducated minds. You call the 'stinky dirty hippies' to confuse yourself into dehumanizing them, so that again, in your confused mind, they're less than people and you think it's justified.

The thing you seem to be missing though is people, especially these people, couldn't give a fuck less about the playground names 'conservative' pundits and their flock dig up for them. It was 'dirty stinking hippies' protesting illegal wars since the 50's when the idea that 'shit, maybe we DON'T have to go murder innocent people half way across the planet because some lying politician says its right..'. Without 'dirty stinking hippies', segregation and racism would still be a main issue, but I have a feeling people like you might think that's a good thing.

Keep listening to the wealthy Americans telling you there's nothing wrong with the system while your neighbors, teachers, fire fighters, brothers and sisters skip meals and showers on your behalf to ensure your ignorant 22 year old self won't be faced with economic stagnation, massive debts and an ever decreasing quality of life when (if) you ever..

..GROW THE FUCK UP.

No you're very wrong. The 99% would remain the 99%, while the 1% decides what there "Duty to the community" will be...It's called "Communism".

This isn't just "Occupy Wall Street"

It's Occupy Germany, Occupy Canada, Occupy Mexico, Occupy EVERYWHERE. This IS "Occupy the World"

i thought this was a PROTEST!!!!!
pussies, all of them.

(11-22) 09:24 PST SANTA ROSA -- Occupy protesters in Santa Rosa who didn't have city permits for their campsites near City Hall were evicted by police this morning in a peaceful raid, officers said.
Police moved in before dawn and ordered campers without permits to pack up their belongings and move out. About 100 Occupy campers have been sleeping on the west side of City Hall since mid-October, and 100 or so homeless people have been sleeping on the east side.
Police evicted 26 tents whose occupants did not have permits, Lt. Craig Schwartz said. People in another 18 tents who did have permits were allowed to stay. Protesters with a permit are required to display it on the outside of their tents.
Police began warning campers five days ago that if they didn't have a permit they would have to leave. Those without permits were given 40 minutes today to clear out or face arrest, Schwartz said.
"It went very, very smoothly," Schwartz said. "We got completely voluntary compliance with no arrests."
Campers with permits were allowed to return after the raid on the condition they arrange their tent sites in a manner approved by the Fire Department.
"They want to make sure there is enough space between the tents for us to get in if we need to," Schwartz said.
The city stopped issuing new permits for the Occupy camp Nov. 15. Existing permits expire Nov. 30.

I think occupy's eventual goal is to become global. They are just starting at the most egregious area first, wall street. Which, in a way, does control the world's economy. I'd hate to sound like a pompous American, but... this is 'merica boy, we run the shit!
Isn't there an occupy Vancouver, Montreal, London, Paris, Berlin etc?

Edited to sound more redneck.

If they stopped issuing permits, eventually they will have no choice but to stay there permit less. OR go somewhere else.

I don't think you understand that when they break up a camp, some of those people leave together, to make plans. While some have no where else to go at all.

What's going on in other countries is no where near the scale as what's going on here. It will get there eventually, but there is still time. Hence the word eventual.

They ARE in other countries though, they started like day 1.

And if you look at other countries, some of them DO have stuff as big as Oakland going on too.
